Re: The Happy Post
Been watching Terra Nova in flashes on the telly and decided to take it from the start.
It's pretty neat! I do like dinosaurs! Wish there were more friendly ones

Terra Nova? Watched the whole of season one with the other, it's alright. The idea is good but later on it screams in my head that it could be heading towards a shit turn if a season two is ever made. My main concern.
Just finished rewatching Battlestar Galactica myself for my fourth time (Lilath's first) and for some reason I can just never get bored of that show, I am sure Raelan can agree with me here.
In other news I am happy in my progress in the Norwegian language and have started to understand Radio Norge more now.

Re: The Happy Post
I never got passed episode 5 of Terra Nova, its Episodal nature and based around, boring teen drama. and predictable tropes, not even interesting spins on the tropes
Also there wasn't enough serialised plot. or well not enough to make it interresting, over-shadowing the girlfriend boyfriend troubles...
but meh..
I liked Falling Skies, so what do I know

I'd advise watching further, to be honest. I wasn't a fan of the first few either.
... sounds like every time I've had to try and tell people to watch LOST.

Re: The Happy Post
The thing that stood out the most for me about terra nova was the josh and the girlfriend scene, they were all "Gonna miss you, k" *walks off*. Felt forced, actually the Josh and wanting his girl thing felt all forced anyway heh.
I should rewatch the season one finale atleast as I was occupied while watching it the first time so I only got half of it.
And yeah, I feared it would turn into another "LOST" at the end, for season 2 if they ever get the green light to do that. We don't need another LOST.

Re: The Happy Post
My week thus far:
Monday:
I had a headache in the evening and a meeting from one of my student's associations (the co-determination one). As the new year is coming along now we're heading into a period where we choose the new faculty council (A co-determination body within the university for our faculty, consisting of students and professors) and the new 'administration' for our association. Before the meeting one of the other people in the association came up to me and asked me if I was intending to run for a seat on the faculty council or if I was going to run for one of three (maybe four) spots in the administration. I told her that I didn't intend to run for either, she looked disappointed.
What do I take from this? At least someone sees me as a person capable of filling those positions. Which means I have some support should I decide to run, which I won't this year. Next year however will be a wholly different story, simply because this has given me the idea to run for a spot in the administration. If all goes well I'd be one of the 3/4 leaders of a student's association in my third year.
...I've already figured out one way to get that spot. It can be somewhat frowned upon though.
Tuesday:
Worked all day, checked my mail and had one new mail in my inbox, with the following subject:
"Accepted for the Honours Programme..."
I GOT INTO THE HONOURS COLLEGE!

Re: The Happy Post
5 miles in EXACTLY 38 minutes I nearly passed out after that run
that was so freaking awesome
I'm just 3 minutes away from my goal of 35 minutes ... sounds like a little but 3 minutes is a LOT. If I don't build up the speed of my run's gradually but instead to just run 5 miles tomorrow but 3 minutes quicker, I'd end up passing out but for real :/
But whatever yay 38 minutes I'm so happy!!! I'm still feeling the effects of my running high too so :}
