Re: Letter sent to Magistrate Braiden Mistmantle on behalf of the Chapter of Holy Anethion.
(( Forgive me if this comes across as unnecessarily blunt, but isn't it very convenient that as soon as action is taken ICly the blade is suddenly proclaimed as being a different one..? Not only that its a different one, but that its one that's been removed for months. It's never been rp'd out like that.Jeanpierre/Ragnilde wrote:Helmfrid wrote:Bumped for relevance of us attempting to arrest Ishap Balancer.
Apparently Mirian wasn't aware of it... so I'll state it for the sake of clarity so, at least, OOCly there's no confusion. The enchanted blades that seems to have caused such a ruckus have been removed for months now. That doesn't imply your actions ought to change, but just so you'd know when you see Ishap walking around: those are not the same blades. Surely an Anethion follower should see that
It was only 3 or so weeks ago that Ishap was in the Abbey shouting about how her shadow sword is needed for 'balance' with her other one. Ishap was quite clearly with a shadow-enchanted blade then.

((No JP I was making a joke about them trying to arrest Ishap again, Corleth both the light sword and the shadow sword were locked away and Ishap is now using a fire blade and an ice blade, Monrena - Ishap was ressed by a bunch of priests and Paladins from the disciples and a few other guilds.))

Your gentle bluntness it is not a problem considering the circumstances, CorlethCorleth wrote:(( Forgive me if this comes across as unnecessarily blunt, but isn't it very convenient that as soon as action is taken ICly the blade is suddenly proclaimed as being a different one..?
It is exactly because I noticed this confusion that I raise the topic. OOCly I want to bring us on the same level, so we know what it is we are RP'ing.
The change occured following the event at Nortshire abbey:

It was only 3 or so weeks ago that Ishap was in the Abbey shouting about how her shadow sword is needed for 'balance' with her other one. Ishap was quite clearly with a shadow-enchanted blade then.
I double checked the date and trace it back to around March 19th. Thus, I would stand corrected. Ishap would indeed still have her blades then.
Following the fight at northshire abbey, the leadership of DoL demanded her to hand in the blades, pending an internal investigation conducted by myself and Fortesgue (the disappearing git ).
The news of this measure and investigation was RP'd and explicitly noted to Osmand on two of my meetings with him. The first meeting, quite a random encounter in the infirmary, I told him that this news should suffice for his order. As the conflict increased, another meeting was planned between Osmand, Myrian, Alarianna and JP. There we have explicitly mentioned this measure again.
On both accounts we have expressed the state of the blades:
- Handed in custody to the Argent Dawn, the only ones who would know the location
- Locked in a chest, to which only Valestrion holds the key
- Inaccessible by a magical lock that needs to be called by the voice of Ishap.
When I saw Ishap walking about with 2 blades of the same type, same style, both enchanted.. I too was confused and asked for clarification. "They are not the same blades" was the answer. *le sigh* I had to look twice myself to see the difference.
In spite of having it mentioned twice, and quite explicitly, I can understand the confusion. An IC conflict, I can dig. But I'm getting convinced we're in an OOC mess. I have PM'd Osmand about a few things, but had no response yet. I would gladly talk to you lot... We have a few things to straighten out.

PM or whisper me in-game please Jeanpierre if you believe there is an OOC, if you cannot get in touch with Osmand. However I fail to see it unless it's a guild specific thing. I've read what has been said here now and I believe people are looking too far into the matter but I shall leave that opinion for private conversations. I was there on my alt (Adraste) who conducted the whole thing. I did inform Osmand of it that night but he was unable to log in yesterday.
