I'd rather be a free Nord than a puppet of the Aldmeri Dominion. The Mer were driven from the surface of Skyrim once before, it will be done again!

Imperials of course! I've been Elder Scrolling since Morrowind and is as such firmly on the side of the Empire. Besides, Ulfric Stormcloak is a major douchebag...

I agree with the Stormcloaks on many issues. But in the end they are idiot racists. But the whole out with the dominion and up with Talos. AWESOME.
If it weren't for the Dominion arselicking I'd be imprerial all the way (They also look far better).
So, The united people's front for Talos! bonus points for those who spot the reference.

Of course I went with the Imperials. They look like Romans. Romans are awesome, m'kay. Plus I'm a Dark Elf, not gonna help the Stormcloaks, just look at Windhelm!
Only a unified empire can hope to stand against the Dominion! For the Emperor!
...I wonder which outcome will be canonized.

The only lore I really want to find is why the Dominion banned the Talos worship.

Re: Stormcloak or imperial?
Because Talos was a human before he ascended to godhood.
The rest of the divines were not, and the mer consider themselves to be the children of the divines or so (original ones)
So just being butthurt over the fact that human was pro enough to become a divine.

I know there's a book on that somewhere.
- Spoiler:
- If I remember right, they don't like the idea that a human can become "divine", since that's what they want to become.

I think the line of the septims is broken now so if you are emperior you may not want to refer to your predesessors as gods.

Re: Stormcloak or imperial?
Also, some info on why the Septim line is broken. Because I'm a massive Elder Scrolls geek. And some about your White-Gold Concordat. If you wanna know anything else, I'm here!
- Spoiler:
- When the last Emperor was assassinated by the Mythic Dawn, you have to find his secret bastard child, Martin Septim! Martin gave his life during the Oblivion crisis. What with him having no children, and his brothers also assassinated before the Emperor, also childless, there was none left whom bore the blood to keep the Dragonfires burning bright. But before he gets there, Mehrunes Dagon appears inside the walls of the Imperial City. Too late to light the fires. And only an immortal can kill another immortal. But Martin has a plan involving the Amulet of Kings, which only one baring his blood can wear. The Amulet is infused with the Dragon God Akatosh's blood. And the Septims have dragonblood in them. He gets into the temple of Akatosh, just as Mehrunes tears of the roof. Martin holds his ground as Mehrunes tries to intimidate him. As Mehrunes gets closer to Martin, who's standing on the alter, a lot of light comes from him and he transforms into the Avatar of Akatosh, a flaming dragon. After a heavy battle, Martin destroys Mehrunes physical form, banishing him and his Oblivion Gates. But the price of using the Amulet kills him. Akatosh immortalises him in stone, upon the alter of the chapel, for everything he's done for Tamriel. Because he destroyed Mehrunes as an immortal, he woould no longer be able to break into Tamriel because the Dragonfires were now unable to be lit. Ever. A sacrifice!
Talos was Dragonborn, the first of the Septim line. Tiber Septim. There's an inn named after him in the Imperial City. He conquered the whole of Tamriel in his age, and when he died, he was ascended to Godhood. He became the God of War and Governance of the nine Divines. His Nordic aspect is called Ysmir, the Dragon of the North. The Nords were butthurt that his worship was banned.
The White-Gold Concordat treaty was a peace treaty that heavilly favoured the Altmer, because the Empire would have fallen to them eventually. The Altmer being the elves that lived on Summerset. The Thalmer often hint that the elves were the ones who started the war. They're Elven Supremecists. There's your reason for the ban of Talos. They despise anything not elven and did not want a Nord of all things being worshipped as one of the nine Divines. You'll often hear them speaking of 'Eight Divines' because of this.
