Those cutscenes were, and are, awesome. Though I love the game for the gameplay more than the cutscenes. And yes, the intro is awesome too, I love Yuri's revenge intro as well. "Call in an airstrike, I want that tower taken out!."

That intro forever painted my view of how a president orders an attack in a crisis situation.

Don't see what's wrong with opening it up to more audience like this. "Veteran" players can still play it the old-fashioned way. Not to mention some leaked multiplayer footage I saw looks awesome already.

I'm an achievement whore. No doubt there will be achievements based on classes again, which I'd no doubt get by rushing the game as that class. Because I simply don't like playing some of them. x)

After my 5-10 hours romp with Oblivion I don't see any reason at all to drool over Skyrim. Sure, the game play was unrestrictive, but far from "OMG AWESOME" for most of what I played.
It was really nice that if I wanted I could be "Screw you!" quest. I'm gonna become the best pit fighter/thief/general mennance this world has ever seen!

I didn't play long enough to find out if the world would progress without you and suddenly "Wait, what are these demon guys doing here?"

Still, if I want freedom in a game, I'd rather just Pen Paper it with my friends and be less restricted by a game engine. Also have a "God" who could litterally strike me down if I became to annoying.

But, Skyward Sword in 11 days *drools, a lot*

Just hooked on the amount of detail and effort put into skyrim. Just don't want to be disapointed but I'm sure I won't. Gonna be finishing work soon as well So I can just sink into it. Hopfully it supports 3D nvida

The only argument I've really got against it is about the finite resources, they might've cut back on other stuff to make room for two modes that the players of ME 1 and 2 won't ever touch. I realise it's not the end of the world, though. However, it's not too early to start pondering whether this could set a new gaming standard if ME 3 sells well. Give 1-2 years and we might have sequels of games with an action mode and a story mode, but no RPG mode? Sad

I doubt it, though...

And yes, Skyrim! Anyone else being lucky and having friday off so you can start playing at midnight on thursday and play till you pass out? Very Happy

That's if the servers are up for it.

It's free right now! The servers were all merged to populate the place but I'm cool with that. Did my first 'dungeon' fight this morning against the Halloween boss Scarecrow! Good fun! Made myself a new super villain. You know me, Joker aligned with Gadgets galore. Rifle weapon. <3

I was in London on Friday and kept seeing posters for Elders Scrolls V: Skyrim. Before that I kept on seeing Elder Scrolls IV: Oblivion whenever I was looking for a new roleplaying game to try. However, although they look like they might be great games, I have a thing against joining series of games part way through. So, I started looking around online and was delighted to discover that all the main Elder Scrolls games are still available. Elder Scrolls I: Arena and Elder Scrolls II: Daggerfall are even available as free downloads from the official Elder Scrolls site. I've been playing Arena for a few days now, trying to find the character that suits me best. I had forgotten how primitive games used to be, but there are some fun aspects to it.
