3D pose

Yep and I'm going abroad to do it.

Where abouts you gouing abroad for it lyn and when? A little note for u if your ever able to get down to south wales look up the SAND event (swansea animation day) a nice area for you to have a look at, plus you get to see lots of early stuff likes in some films or games/future tech.

Also updated the post with progress information. Test some new methods on the models to try and make them look that little bit nicer.

I haven't touched 3D animation for the past 5 years. I doubt I can be of any use xD

Yes I'm still working it. But takes time to get all the models setup and clean as when riping them from wow they come out with problems. So fixing them up then tweaking the models, texture and layering them. Then the rigging to make the poses. But Don't worry these will all be done. Working on fralans first at the mo. Also didn't do any yesterday cause was chilling with my g/f but will try and get some done tonight after work. If there any more details people need for their one post here or pm me.

She loves u, but loves me best ;D . Rather enjoying this little project, gonna make all these chars into voodoo dolls and make u all dance for me, or bake not sure which yet >.>

Also Mandui what package did u use. Did u self train, work or do a cource?

Have been using softimage for a year in Uni and trying to learn 3dcoat and maya (and expand softimage knowledge) right now.

That would be wicked Ezlbag, falling slightly behind at the moment with work and such but im finished in 2 weeks so will be able to fly along then. Softimage is a really nice package, I was trained in maya but going to start trying other 3D packages soon to widen my skills abit. You got any sample work mate?

Whats 3dcoat like? Is it similiar to mudbox and zbrush

Youtube is bound to have plenty of free content. But from experiance the best tutorials are the ones you pay for. I've bought many books and video tutorials on maya and other packages and I'm glad I did. If you have a passion you should spend a little on it. If its just somthing to dable with then just youtube it all. If you want to start out check out blender, its great and its free and also very similar to maya and there is loads of free lessons out there. Learn early and you will be amazing. Also the offer for lessons to ppl if always there just let me know and we can chat on skype and I can show u all u need to get started.

I use blender for my school project, making a portal gun high res.
I don't have the money for tutorials :< I can barely afford WoW.

I can point u in the right direction if u want for some good freebies. What sort of thing u looking for modeling, animation, low poly high poly. Or everything you can get ur hands on. If u need tips and tricks ask susie to give u my skype, and stream video then and u can request what u want to learn. and good job starting on blender already =D how did u find it

My "friend" uses it a lot more than me, and he showed me in class. I'm not an expert in it by any means xD
What I would really want to do is learn character modelling. What got me started was when I was on the Zombie Panic forums about new characters and I decided "Screw this, I'll make them myself!"
That didn't go very far, I must admit... but I downloaded XSI Mod Tool because it has an easy Source engine exporter.

I'm actually in the middle of creating a HL2 mod as it is, so I should try create some custom props xD

Char modeling is alot of fun, the only thing I hate about it is >.> hands, no idea why I just hate modeling hands. Most fun part is the head.

i'm just looking forward to finishing work on the 12th and being able to do a load of 3D and start my short animation series =D

I <3 Level design too. It's really easy once you work out how the particular tools work, but is so rewarding.

Cool work lyn =D I got a friend (whos on our server as well) doing a games cource where they are making maps for left 4 dead 2

I never finished that L4D map, mostly because there was one annoying error in the navmesh that would not go away!
It's in chronological order, so the bottom pics are the one I'm working on now.
