What is this:
Technocratic republic is a gnome only guild that focuses on traditional gnomish themes such as technology and industry, while aspiring to serve in the traditional role as suppliers and experts of the alliance. It consists of a merged military and mercantile side. While commersialism is often more attributed to goblins, this is not about making maximum profit but providing good and reliable service. Like gnomes do (with a liberal interpretation of reliable).

We seek to fill a niché in the alliance rp community as suppliers. Wanting to provide deals with other guilds that traditionally has been handwaved away. It is my personal hope that eventually people will contact us for deals whenever they need something, which we will then acquire for them from another group. It is a side sadly unexplored and I really hope it will bring much great rp to the community.

It is an ambition to even travel in groups and physically haul the goods. Which is why we have a military side as well, it's a dangerous world out there.

What do we seek?
We seek adventurous gnomes willing to work hard for the gnomish way of life. Experimenting and tinkering gnomes who know their way around a spanner. And well spoken gnomes that can make business deals.

In the traditional gnomish sense, all gnomes regardless of "class" is welcome. Even warlocks, death knights and necromancers are welcome and allowed to practise their magic. As long as they adhere to local restrictions and ordinances.

Why gnomes?
Because gnomes are awesome? In all seriousness. It's because gnomes have great potential. Often depicted as nothing but comic relief, these quirky people have one of the darkest backstories in the setting. They're known for their obsession but also their neverending optimism. It's a great chance for both a bit of fun, crazy casual rp and a serious and dedicated rp. They're also one of the few races that freely and willingly travels everywhere. There might not be many of them but you can find them almost everywhere there's something to explore or study. The perfect race for marco polo-esque adventures.

What themes will you explore
We aspire to explore the themes of exploration, of travel, of tinkering in groups and collaborative efforts, of trade and dealing with a multitude of peoples. Of duty and infividualism. And hopefully explore the uniqueness of the gnomish way of life (such as the republics).

The IC bit
The mercantile operation of the technocratic republic is a small group of gnomes working to protect the traditional way of gnomish living. In order to provide the gnomish republics, the enclaves across the world, with their traditional means of survival it has taken up the duty to provide gnomish goods and services to the alliance. Transporting the goods across the dangerous roads and wilds of Azeroth.

It is open to gnomes from all corners of the world. No matter which republic they hail from the Technocratic Republic, as it is unofficially known, opens it's arms wide. The knowledge and expertise from all over the world is not only welcome, but needed.

Recruitment
It's a sad fact that the gnomish community is largely alt-based. Fully accepting that we are willing to recruit precisely that, alts. All we ask is that you keep an open eye on it and tell us your mains name so we can bring you along for our events, deals and operations. Gnomish mains are more than welcome.

We're also interested in outsiders to make deals with.
