People used to say I was like a cross between Somara from the Ring, and that chick from the Grudge. Pale skinned, and it didn't help when I died my hair dark blue. Sat quietly getting on with my work, so my very long, waist length hair at the time hung over my face when I leaned over my work.

The look on their face was priceless when I overheard them one day and slowly turned, making that Grudge-croaking noise.

That really sucks Lily :( it's ok though, don't let it get to you. People are stupid and just a few more months, and you'll be off to Holland so yay :) don't be sad. Every single school everywhere has people like that.

Every other day, my dad goes crazy and starts screaming about how I'm losing too much weight/how I should eat meat/how running will kill me/blahblahblahblah and he uses anything as an excuse for me not to leave Ktown to go to uni. But ya, he is legally able to cancel my scholarship, take away my passport and stop me getting a Kuwaiti nationality and but I spoke to him yesterday and now he changed his mind ... until he finds another reason lol...

Your father.. Can do those things... O.o Holy fucking shit. Well, you still have French citizenship don't you? Don't know how much of a help that would be, but still.

I take it he can do this because you're still underage according to the law? And eh, can't the scholarship be seen as a contract between you and the Kuwaiti government? That would mean that he could only have it cancelled by going to court and using your legal status to have it nullified (as you can't do these things without his explicit permission, though his permission can be seen as implied by the fact that you're doing nothing out of the ordinary. Which would make it much harder, if not impossible, to nullify the contract on the basis of your legal status ) ..Anyway, that's Dutch law, don't expect it to be the same in Kuwait, but I figured that it's better than nothing.

As for taking away your passport... Now that's just an alien concept to me.

I've been trapped for years by my mother. :@ Abusive, selfish, possibly mentally deranged. I kid you not. I can't even move out, cause she takes most of the money I make for living here, and I can't find a better paid job in my area. But I can't move away to find one, and the circle repeats. If guilt tripping me doesn't work, she forced me to do things. When I was in school, I spent every weekend cleaning the house top to bottom. I wasn't allowed out with friends and in the end, they stopped coming to see me. Neutral

Now, I have about.. three of them. She gets so angry when I play online too. It's my one escape and she does her utmost to deny me that.

It feels so good to get out and say this shit. \o/ You guys are my therapy. And I don't even know most of you. <3 Yay!

As for you dad. Well, as they say, "You can choose your friends, but you can't choose your family". Sadly the former can't really take away your rights or your passport. Unless they got you sectioned and made ward to the state. I guess you don't want that you happen...

What we need is a plan. A fast boat, some paperclips and some towels. You always need towels.
