It's wrong lol. Pinochio had a moral to the story, that lying is wrong, and tarzan being almost naked. REALLY? THAT's Innapropriate?!

Not true at all. T'is only really true if you believe in hypodermic needle theory, which is possibly one of the most obsolete and out-dated media theories around. And yeah, what Pertubo said.

Everything these days is seen as inappropiate. Hell, they even want to censor the old movies I grew up with, where young boys and girls are bathing/putting on clothes, since pedophiles would get attracted. Well, no shit they would but I highly doubt most people these days watches the movie "Ronja Banditdaughter" to watch Ronja and Birk run in the water naked.

Correction. Been going around internet since before FB even was known of by such a wide amount of people.

I'm trying to structure out a few training session for the new people I'm meant to be teaching about peer-mentoring (as in counselling but less serious, mainly dealing with issues like poor behaviour and bullying) and it's so frustrating! Most of the principles you need to be aware of are basically just intuitive, as in it's innate and instinctual, but they just need to be made aware of it.

I'm not sure how exactly to go about training them though. I've prepared a few training session where we go over the basic principles (the ABC's: Active Listening, Body Language and Tone, Concern and Compassion - thought of that myself hurhur *proud*) and I'm also going to role-play a few different situations with them, but my main concern is whether I picked the right people or not. We had like 30 applicants and I could only pick 10! We made them write applications and then we interviewed them but mentoring is such a personal and sensitive thing that you can never be sure if a person is doing it for the right reasons unless you like actually look into their souls or something lol...

Oh and plus it's not like I've been doing this for like ever. I'm still a beginner technically :s. I'm really excited though about leading the program this year but it's a bit daunting knowing there's nobody to fall back on. :(

On top of that, have to stay sober for 12 hours. That includes no food.

.. Which now that I think of it, empty stomach + needles = doesn't bode well for me altogether.
