Episode 3: (part 3/3) – Stubbornness and pride.
Amatho entered the city of Darnassus. Darnassus was at ease and peaceful, the singing of birds and the sweet smell of herbs and flowers immediately begged Amatho's mind to come at ease. Without to much delay she walked towards the Temple of the moon.
I will probably be asked to appear before the Circle. One of us surely must know what I have attempted. She thought.
She entered the temple. The cool grass and sound of water falling combined with the calm chattering of her own people, placed her in a complete relaxed state. Whisps twirled around her and continued playing their game of tag around the statue of Haidene. Though not really her place of inspiration nor her chosen path, The temple of the Moon was the one place she would go if stressed.
She sat before the statue, her feet in the water. Her eyes closed and recalling the entity she had seen.
What was it? Something so vast harboring something so destructive. Is it evil? No.. Something like that would not even consider duality. It felt familiar in a way. Why have I never seen it when projecting over my own p-...
“Greetings Sister. Might I sit next to you?”
Amatho thought this was the Kaldorei that would discipline her. She didn't open her eyes, perhaps out of fear, or perhaps arrogance. The energy behind the voice told Amatho that this woman was confident and wise. Amatho slowly nodded.
“I have perhaps done something not to wise.” Amatho said to the woman next to her. “I am afraid I have angered an entity guarding the human continuous.” She said.
Amatho could feel the Kaldorei next to her pondering the words she just spoke.
“Why would you attempt such a thing in the first place?”
Amatho opened her eyes, and looked at the Kaldorei next to her. A beautiful slender white haired woman with a confident posture sat next to her. Amatho recognized the colors she was wearing and linked it to Natures Grasp. This woman would not be the one to scold her she told herself.
Amatho explained why she had attempted to tap into their sub-contentiousness*. She also explained why she attempted this on the first place, and shared the vision** where she had seen her own people fall to their demise, and wander Azeroth spiritually lost, convinced that the humans were to blame.
“Humans are not as bad as you believe they are, Sister.”
“Please, call me Amatho Goldleaf.”
“My name is Eavya Morninglight.”
“Thank you, for giving me your name so freely, Eavya” Amatho said respectfully. “You must think I am the most arrogant Kaldorei ever to cross your path.” she said disappointed.
“I do not judge so easily, Sister” Eavya stated firmly. The way she pronounced this, gave Amatho a feeling of reflection. As if, she wanted to state that Amatho should not judge so easily herself. A flash of shame fell over Amatho.
“ I have a shard, near my heart. If it is not removed within time, I will die.” Eavya said calmly.
“Then have it removed!”
“Our people cannot. But humans...”
“Surgeons.” Amatho said. Amatho had learned quite a deal about human surgeons while in Stormwind. This was one of the few achievements she respected in her short stay amongst humans. She bit her lip.
“So, you will look for one of them?” she said. Rapidly after that she said: “Might I come with you?”
Eavya had a surprised look upon her face. It was soon replaced with a comforting smile.
“Come to my house, and we will discuss when we will leave” Eavya slowly got up, told Amatho where her house was and left. Amatho sighed deeply. She had the feeling faith was testing her. She could not dismiss the voyage, or the achievements of humans any longer. She also was not able to dismiss the entity – so vast, so massive – guarding the human mind. She had to come to terms with them.
