Got a question from someone regarding

To hasten up the plot a little, the carrier of a shard may recieve visions through the mind about where the other shards are precisely located. Guilds would have to coordinate this with eachother well OOCly.

so I will try to clarify it here.

You actually get a lucid vision of -who- holds it and -where-.

Let's say Braiden holds a shard, and I am going after it. I will simply check if Braiden is online and give him a whisper. "Hey Braiden, I'm going to attempt to take your shard. Where are you right now?".

How the visions work, it could be described as flashes of pictures through the mind including a distinct feeling of where to go.

What do you do to get a vision? The carrier of a shard can get a vision when ever he wants to.

Recieved another question.

"What if I simply hide the shard?"

Well let's say your shard won't have a carrier anylonger, and is hidden in the middle of no where. Then the vision would reveal that location.

Is the desire to possess all the shards strong enough to prevent true and sincere collaboration? (ex: Genevieve and Braiden both have 5 pieces, and they agree to put the artifact together and share the secret)

It depends on the person I'd say. We're all different characters, one is weak minded, the other strong. You have sane and insane, intelligent and stupid folk. The shards definitely give you the desire to collect them all and to recreate the artifact. How strong that desire is, would be up to the roleplayer.

I know for one that my my warlock's mind suffers a tad of corruption, and he's naturally power hungry. His desire would be big.

Moreover, only the shard carrier would feel this desire. Braiden and Genevieve could be forced by their guilds/families/friends/superiors to colaborate.

And another plot-technical question. Suppose, for a moment, that Exaythe gets her hands on one of the Shards and has sufficient willpower to say "I don't want it", and locks it in the reliquary of the Aldor of shattrath city. This will pose unovercomeable challenges to others who try to retrieve it. Is there any IC way to prevent such from happening, or should we just use OOC common sense?

Update: Some sort of a new rule here. One asked me "what if I simply throw the shard in my shadow realm, no one can take it then.". Such stuff would ruin the plot, bare with the plot please.

That or we simply create, with the involving parties, some sort event to create opportunities to obtain the shard.

If one was to attempt to aid an oposing faction/guild/person whilst under disguise and feed the information back to the person you really wish to aid, such as Gust, what OOC information/consent would need to be negotiated or could you go about it entirely IC? I know infiltration/double agent work is a touchy subject OOCly. Thought I would ask beforehand.

Perhaps it depends on the person. As for me.... As long as this spying doesn't involve a false guild membership, I'm fine with that. You may even find Jean-Pierre a tad naive.

As Jeanpierre says it depends on the persons/guild invovled. I personally believe that such infiltrations/spying stuff doesn't need to be talked about OOCly at all, unless the guild strictly says so beforehand or at their guild website, or w/e.

I see. Just as of now I believe Cyrdain would not risk his reputation so early on in joining the guild he is a part of. He'd more than likely want to help unlock its secrets collectively with those we deems worthy of knowing them.

I won't be able to join in on this plot nor hoste it. I'm LF someone who wishes to hoste this. Basicly, all you'd need to do is copy the other thread, repost it and update it. Without volunteers the plot won't happen.

Yes, if you will manage the threads (or someone atleast) then this will simply still happen. If you want to do it then you'll have to copy the threads, repost them and I will re do mine.

I just have "quit" roleplaying, in a sense, hence.

Certainly interested in the concept, I'd still like it to breath some life even with your departure from RP (Why, out of curiosity?). I'll throw up a new topic so I can post updates to the front of the thread if you can sticky it, then.

Sorry to see you fall away from this storyline, thought it will be interesting. Will you still be about? You didn't disclose what would happen upon the artifacts joining. Going to go throw up a copy now as I post this.

This is a seperate entity, aye.

Raelan of SI:7 is unsure he wants to hold this shard. If he decides not to, I would be glad to hold it for him. SI:7 have not started the plot yet. Just as an update.

Is this plot still happening or should it be considered on hold? As there are no updates and I've heard nothing about it for around a month.

It started weeks ago, and the people still hold the shards. What might be possible is that people haven't been hunting for the shards yet. For one I know we had some rp in the eyes about it weeks ago, and the chapter examined their shard weeks ago too to know knowledge.

Basicly, this is still going on. What you could do is gather a group of your blades and start a hunt, perhaps arrange something with another guild or what's more interesting in my opinion is to surprise them!

I personally hope we will start hunting some shards within the eyes soon anyhow.

In addition, we kicked this plot off weeks ago already. It's the responsibility of the attendants to go go go!
