Love how on the T14 videos the discalimer says that every time you QQ about the armour on the forums, Santa kills an elf xD
As for the whole mouth moving thing, they probably wanted to make it look extra creepy or something... and I do think that whole mouth bit given what the armour is based on definitly gets points in that department.

The purple crater looks a bit like the dalaran crater, my first thought would be "ah k, those are ley lines", but I can't remember reading that there are any under Theramore.

The Mage Tower was actually a spaceship, powered by the ley lines beneath.

There certainly are, as ley lines are everywhere. Just not any that have any canonical details.

I always imagined Ley lines to work sort of like blood veins, in that they become much more visible if you have to pump a lot of blood/magic through them. Since Jaina is pretty powerful for a mage I'd imagine her using a lot of arcane and the Ley Lines/Magic "Veins" would need to pump out a lot. Same reason the Dalaran crater has so prominent ones too and pretty much everywhere you see those purple lines is a place where powerful magic users were present.
