The game is a bit clunky in places, but overall far better than WoW in many ways.

I'm wishing I hadn't done an annual pass for WoW now.

Do they have roleplay servers? I'm not leaving WoW, just curious as to what they've thought about in regards to roleplay.

call your bank and tell them to stop paying the subscription. It's not a legal binding contract you will not be chased up or banned or anything, they will remove you panda beta and the mount from your account and you can either pay another way or return to the Galaxy far far away!

Not had any chance to role play yet. Speech bubbles got implemented today but I'm just really enjoying the questing and watching my Jedi Knight become more powerfull than master Yoda :-)

yes. I have star wars on high graphics and it runs as smooth as a babies bum but on WOW I have to have everything on fair or I DC left right and centre!

Is there no way you can try to install the game and check it out for yourself? Say, trough some sort of trial thing, or perhaps on a friend's account?

I don't know the spec of my PC. All I know about my PC's spec is that it runs WoW on 10 FPS with all settings to minimum ;p But I'll try to investigate some

The system requirements for ToR are higher than the ones required for WoW. Plus dissconections have little to do with graphics capabilities. Crashes and low framerate sure but dissconecting from the server, no.

Use that. It scans your PC and shows you clearly if you can run it or not using the system requirements as a benchmark.

No.

I run WoW on mostly high settings, but have to play TOR on lowest settings to get somewhat decent FPS. I imagine it's because I have a single core processor, though. If you have a dual core+ then you might be able to get away with it.

Hmm. If that was the case (those specs) I'm a tad confused on why you run WoW at 10fps with the lowest settings.

One thing is for sure, ToR is obviously more graphically demanding than WoW. Even just by looking at gameplay footage.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is set to launch tomorrow, after years of hype and anticipation. A lot of people pre-ordered the game from online retailers, many of whom shipped out the game early so folks would have the game available to play as soon as possible. Unfortunately, it turns out that a lot of the games were apparently shipped out without the registration code in the box, which means that they're unplayable until the situation is rectified.

The Star Wars: The Old Republic forums are jammed with users complaining that they bought the collector's edition of the MMO, only to find the registration cards inside the DVD case have no visible numbers. Also, it's being reported that some copies of the title don't even have game discs. If you don't have a registration number, you only have a two-day grace period before you'll be unable to play the game.

Lol'd at good service but I hope they sort it out. Shame though for those hoping to do some christmas gaming.
