No but really, what was the artist thinking?

I even grabbed a stick, put imaginary 'points' on it and tried to envision how a backwards right handed axe swing would work that would result in that position.

Needless to say, it wouldn't work.

It wouldn't, but that doesn't stop weaboos from THINKING it'd work. You see. Logic doesn't apply to them. I know there's some game out there with one of the characters using one of those things you hold, with a little bowl right? With a string attached to a ball, that you need to try swing into the cup.

Using one of those as weapon.

Sigh. It's a pose. A pose that I requested. He's leaning his hand on his axe. I don't see the problem. It's not that he swung the axe and placed it there. It's just a picture of our two characters. There's no 'logic' that needs to be applied.

What the artist was thinking? "The one who commissioned it requested it to be so."

Considering it is a DK, so probably swinging with one hand, I can see it ending in that position - though I haven't tried with a stick! So right hand over the left, swinging it back and then letting the left hand go? I don't know how to explain.
