Ignore the clip and the context! Just imagine them all singing this together and each verse being about a diffrent part of the Horde!

Because when talking it over with Jomir, I discovered that the Horde wasn't able to win it with that particular rule-set. They simply wouldn't have a chance. That's why I changed it into a tug-of-war style event, in which both parties would be able to push and fall back depending on the flow of battle.

Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter I [Concluded]
Odrade tried to kill me
I guess she wasn't too fond of the box I had her burried in.
Actually I had a good time, but... I do feel this "rape the healers" contest is being taken a step too far. Barring the AoE damage and Jomir, I found myself barely healing anything else than my fellow healers. I don't object a bit of sports, but I also was under the impression this was to be a fun battle. I get the impression the competition is souring up the atmosphere.
I have also been attacked, repeatedly, after ressing and regrouping. No harm done, in the sense I wasn't killed and I doubt anyone truly had that intention (after the battle anyways, lol). But provocative attacks to people walking off, be it Horde or Alliance, isn't really a good sport. I have the impression the atmosphere was so laden, at least against Alliance, that people found themselves unable to resist such behavior.
Perhaps these are signs of this competition being taken too far?

/rude and slowly walking through the enemy after rez, those aren't exactly smart things either. ((Even if Drefurion prob got the record for most deaths))
As for the "go for the healers", it's either that or not attack healers at all. Trying to limit the amount of attacks, that's not going to work.

JP, trust me, when we had two healers at the beginning of the battle and you had four, I spent most of the time running in circles and getting pesky rogues and druids off my bum. The competition is going on both sides.

Hrm. The Horde at least is not turning sour. You have to keep in mind that while it may be a bit frustrating that you get singled out, we have no other option than go for the healers, since healers make and break PvP. That's one of the reasons we've decided to balance the amount of healers on both sides, right? It's a sad truth imo, but a truth nonetheless. While frustrating that you only get to heal your fellow healers, I find this a valid tactic to try and win.

People that corpsecamp get booted from the raid and receive a warning from me. That being said, I kind of frown upon seeing members of the Alliance resurrect, /rude, and walk (not run, but walk as if they just did groceries) away. A bit provocative, isn't it? That being said, corpsecamping will never get condoned - but don't be surprised if one of the players decides to give you a suggestive auto-attack to the face.

I wouldn't say so. A lot is at stake, so I am not surprised that people take this campaign seriously. And they have good reason for it. That's why it's important that we keep communicating intensively, so that improvements can be made.

I never did /rude. And the only time I walked slowly was after being ganked to buy myself time to check the names. It didn't seem to matter much however. Even when using a gryphon to fly my ass out of there in subsequent fights I got shit thrown at me.
So no. I'm sorry. That won't cut it for me. For neither side. Pretending provocation as excuse to harass people is not a good show... Provoking is just as deplorable for that matter.
Noted. I shall evaluate my stance accordingly.Gnash wrote:Hrm. The Horde at least is not turning sour. Certainly! I find the excessive focus deplorable for both sides, not just one

We really should promote to stop that. It did bring a smile on my face when I saw a group of Dwarves run up front and moon, in Braveheart style.. but that was before the battle and entirely IC.
We may be bashing eachother's brain, and hitting that broken skull again to make sure that poor excuse of a corpse won't rise again (in the hands of Vectoria ) but that doesn't mean we can't do this in the most respectful way?

"I'm not an Tauren.. YARR! I be a pirate matey.. And I.. eh.. be... charging them landlubbers on my own now" *grabs a Gnome and begins to eat it* "Just a snack for the trip, matey."
Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter I [Concluded]
Orbs didn't help, you should pay more attention to your pet night elves.

Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter I [Concluded]
Gnash and Frazl summed up most of the sentiments, though might I add that if you do find yourself (in your opinion unjustifiably) killed, report the names or provide with screenshots if need be to the raid or guild leader. It would be easier to deal with the culprit if that kind of information would be provided (which, by the way, counts for any kind of case you might find game-breaking or the like).
Re: Path of Conquest: Chapter I [Concluded]
Certainly, but I might add it didn't go as far as killing. I just noted a rather tense atmosphere, and while some action and suspense is good.. I'd like to promote a more positive expression of that -before- it leads to ganking/camping and possibly removal from the group.
Let me be clear on that again. Aside from some taunting, there was no thorough abuse of the rules, as far as I detected. Certainly not worthy kicking people or burning them at the stake.
I just try to appeal on people's sportsmanship to raise the bar and hope both sides will drop the OOC taunting and sometimes rude behavior.
