No it doesn't. You can only search one category at a time. You generally want to have stacking categories from broad to specific, with everything in broad and then specific articles in their specific categories.

Oh, and I forgot.

You'll also want to do Category:Race (Humans/Dwarves, etc. Again, plural and capital letters)

Since this is all a lot of info, you can look at the end of my article as an example of the kind of categories I like to see. Obviously that's much more categories than the average short-lived character would have, but you get the idea.

Hmpf. I see roleplay classes rise there. Although I don't object against those, it might be asking a bit much to maintain all that.

I will make sure at least the basic ingame IC classes are used, genders, races, professions etc.

Yeah like I said. Mine's an extreme example of the absolute max you can put into it. For most people, only the 6-7 basics are necessary (Characters, Alliance/Horde Characters, Alliance/Horde, Male/Female, Class, Race, Tradeskill (if applicable)).
