DC universe online mostly, Lineage 2 when I played it Briefly.
Loved the Warhammer online RP i had, Leading a witch elf cult; Epic.
But overall the majority has been on World of Warcraft and City of heroes/villians.
-hopeing- for a shed load of Roleplay on the new CCP mmo, World of Darkness based off the White wolf RPG games/books.

Frequent Dark Heresy DM here. Hope you have a nice Inquisitor. Otherwise expect going insane and dying horribly, while having a ridicoulus amount of fun when it happens.
As I mentioned, I DM Dark Heresy atleast once a week. Sometimes twice, and I play Shadowrun, Dungeons&Dragons and Drakar och Demoner at regular intervals aswell.

I've never forum RPd but always been intrigued. I did do quite a bit of tabletop/P&P. Favourites there were Call of Cthulhu (Cthulhu by Gaslight especially, some groovy playing in the trenches of World War 1), Paranoia (still I think a massively underated (though "cult") game), Traveller (I liked the idea of having my own zepellin and steampunky pirate) and some D&D and Warhammer Fantasy Roleplaying. Oh, and Runequest/MERPS. But I didn't understand a thing when I played them and they were WAY too rule/table heavy, took away any real fun.

Forum RP <3 Fun to gm and play. Love how you can make it suit your schedule and how it's usually quite high quality as people have more time to think about what their chars are doing and how to portray it.

Re: Other games you've rp'ed in.
I've played via chats (swedish ones, even) in a fantasy setting and world of darkness. Oh, and X-men. Played tabletop as well, with EoN, Fading Suns, Neotech and World of Darkness (again).
The chat based was different in the fact that we didn't have visual stuff, like in WoW.Thus we had to describe a lot more and the messages we wrote were loooooooong. I enjoy the fact that in WoW I can make contact with someone by typing just one phrase, in my previous experiences it took frickin' hours because you went through the whole process of noticing someone, describing various thoughts and then greeting them. WoW is just a lot more fast paced, even though I think my long-message background shines through in my sometimes overworked emotes <_<
Oh, and on another note. I haven't done that much forum RP, but I'd be up to give it a go.

Considering you've already expressed a history of writing long posts and your emotes follow suit, I reckon you'd be pretty good at forum RP! Not sure how likely it is that we'll get anything going, but it could happen. Seems there is plenty of interest at least.

And Ezl, if your talking about SotDRP then you're right but there are other very cool maps where you can RP just as much.

I'd like to know how it went ^^ I'd love to try a game like that once, but I've no idea if there are people around here who play it, and how to find them.

If you live in a city or close to there are usually places where people go to play PnP games once a week or so, often times more regularly than that.

So, I actually had a lot of fun with Dark Heresy. Since I hadn't really played that sort of game before, it was easy to get into and avoided being too complicated. Playing a Tech Priest was pretty interesting.

Fuck yeah, Techpriests. Always gold when you want to ruin player plans by having them claim everything is TECH HERESY and ruin their investigations.

Hmmm, ive never really found any other good ones.Reynar / Raviran / Beraht wrote:WC3 Before WoW and Aion for three or four months.

There was like a kinda final fantasy inspired one which worked sometimes, and one thing that was like a less retarded version of Loap.
But other than those two i never found any good rp outside SotDRP

Ehm, a reply is better late than never right?
What I've done in the past is to have a specific setting: it could be a fantasy world, it could be an established one such as Tolkien's Middle-Earth or Star Wars, and then people will make characters and role-play conversations and plots in that setting. I'd find a free forum - proboards or invisionfree or something - and then set up the different sections as different locations for RP to happen. People can then create characters and start threads, or get involved in already existing ones.
I aaactually have something in the works, a small-time fantasy setting with inspiration drawn from a little bit of Persian empire, a little bit of medieval Japan, and involving some ancient secrets. I'm still writing background, but anyone reading, please do let me know if you're interested and I can provide more info when I have it.

Well I'm interested in the concept, but I'm not so familiar with the background you just mentioned. I don't mind reading up on things tho.
Re: Other games you've rp'ed in.
It's a background I'm entirely making up, admittedly. If that doesn't float your boat, that's fine! If some random fantasy is of interest, though, let me know ^^
