I was wondering if any of you rp in different online games. And how it is/was compared to wow.

Text based, forum based, mmorpg's, mmo.

RP'ed on a persistent NWN server for two years before I migrated to WoW

Wc3. Was epic golden old days. Bigger possibilities, more space, allowing creativity beyond imagination.

Same as Saevir, NWN on a peristent world (the original Nordock and others) for some time before WoW. I'd go back and play there again. With decent GMs and a good world, that game is amazing. I miss my little bard.

Age of Conan. Was pretty fun while it lasted.

I'm slightly confused. How, eh, does one RP in an RTS game?

All of my roleplay before WoW was forum-text based stuff. I ran a few of my own that lasted a couple of years, joined others and whatnot. A few of my current RP characters are recreations of characters I played then.

I actually miss forum based roleplay, it was pretty limitless in most respects.

Elder Scrolls: Oblivion (yay for single player RP!), NWN and some in GuildWars.

Used to play a textbased MUD game in the early 2000's for a good couple of years.

I explained in-game to her, poke her since I can't be arsed to write it down right now due to busy RP and hurting stomache irl. >.<;;

M'yep, she informed me of whatcha said. Sounds interesting, if a little 'O.o'.

Only p&p before WoW. Also tried RPing in Aion, it was fun but the RP community was quite small.

I frequently play tabletop roleplaying games (nwod, götterdämmerung, Drakar och Demoner and Eon) and occasionally participate in forum-based roleplaying.

Done no RP'ing before wow and yes the warcraft3 RP thing i've done. Did it with Anaei and co awhile back, Mikasa made one hell of an island.

I'm actually being dragged into some tabletop RP tomorrow night, in the form of Dark Heresy.

Never RP'd before WoW, although I did design characters for my friends pen and paper stuff at school. I never took part cause I didn't understand at the time, but I wish I had now!

RPd on DC Universe Online recently. RPing a super villain? Yes please. Ganking the Alliance in style and in character.

I did the WC3 one for a little while, but to much time was spent preparing compared to actually playing....

Guild Wars, were every Necromancer was a punk rock vampire goth by default <3

5 hours preparation, 1-2 hours RP.

NWN persistant world for a while called Caenyr iirc. Had some wow related RP on forums when wow was announced / some details were out, but not actually out yet. NWN was great though, little persistant worlds really had RP focus, GMs that aided in it and what not.

PnP RPs such as OWoD and D&D, as well as some casual forum based RP. That's pretty much it.

I got quite pissed in the start before i had found any folks i knew to play with, when i spent hours on making a nice kingdom or whatever, and when i was done and ready to play..... i was the only player left Q.Q

Swtor is my next game to RP in (imperial agent) once I get boot camp sorted!

I've done a few forum RPs of random fantasy varieties. Very small time stuff, but fun. One of my friends was reasonably genius with settings, and we had one that was a team of smugglers in a dystopian space setting, another that had Tolkienesque elves, necromancers, and a faction of very emo shadowdrakes.

I'm quite keen on forum RP, actually. One has a chance to choose the right words and provide description without worrying about the pace too much. It's like co-writing stories, really. I'm kind of lacking any forums to RP on these days, though :/

Oh and I also was part of a DnD campaign via instant messaging, but oh, that was hardly RP! Fools were to focused on stats to have any time for character. Bah.
