Well at least according to wowwiki Night Elves have longer life span than blood elf.

I have always thought it so that the growing is somewhat slower than humans. My belf alt is 39 and still quite childish in behaviour because she has not had any expectations by anyone to grow up any faster (being spoiled noble). But she does know how to use bow since she has practiced it over 30 years already. I would think the same for magisters. They study the first 100 years of their life and only after that time they are concidered being adult not because of their physical appearance but because of the level of knowledge they have in their heads.

I would think that an elf would be able to walk talk ect at the same age as a human, and there being a wise race maybe adulthood starts at say 300 as that is when they have lived long enough to achive enough wisdom to be called an adult according to there sociaty? I mean if you look at humans in the uk you are an adult at 18 in the usa its 21, but they both develop at the same pace.... maybe its all a cultral diffrence more then physical and mental?

One similarity between night elves, high elves, and blood elves has only recently come about. The night elves sacrificed their immortality and much of their power at the end of the Third War. Thus, all elves are now mortal and have comparable lifespans that can extend as long as several thousand years.

This is the source for "up to 2000" that http://www.wowwiki.com/Life_spans has. It is also a source I can check, I am unable to check the source that says 390. Also, to my knowledge, the fading of High Elven skin color and loss of immortality was when they were out of range of the tree. In the case of night elves, no tree = no range. There is nothing that says that High Elves and Blood Elves would have a lesser lifespans, especialy not because of magic usage, since arcane magic has been used to extend lifespans and it's likely that it's fel magic that gives the immortality to demons since "many of the demons within the burning legion were formerly mortal races".

But I'm getting off topic >.>
