[H] The Undead of Duskwood
It's zombie bashing time!
Presenting: the awfull horde of zombies! They're dead. They're hungry! They're out of their minds! They're fun to bash to smitherines!
To bash zombies, you need a basher and you need zombies. Ever wondered who played those zombies? Well.. that's us!
Undead of Duskwood
From the rumbling bones and corpses, a few exceptional specimen with little more than no brain rose to power and contemplated a plan. Many days of rumbling later, they realized they lacked the tongue to speak, the ears to hear, the bowels for gutterspeak and members for consistent hand gestures. Another week of thorough thinking later, they resolved to drawings in the dirt ground, and made their evil master plan: "hungry, living food in Duskwood, waargh".
Armed with bare bones, lonely limbs and the occasional rusty weapon, the undead in Duskwood gathered enough spare parts to breach out of their restrictive spawn points.
What are the undead of duskwood?
We are an alt guild with Forsaken and (Horde side) Death Knights. It's not intended as a full time guild, but as a fun biweekly zombie fest.
Duskwood still houses some uncontrolled or mindless zombies and skeletons. We RP those undeads, from zombie to skeleton, in varying degrees of decay. We'll be housed in Duskwood, with weak IC and OOC strength accordingly.
Our purpose is simply to contribute to the RP and "omg! Zombies!" atmosphere of the new Duskwood community. We'll gather every once in a while and strike Duskwood as part of our IC masterplan, with the OOC intention of failing completely.
Improper PvP
It could happen that a massive gathering of our undead forces is wiped out with the single blow of a strong Paladin. Yes, that may happen. No, we will not prevent that. We think that is fine. We'll remain intentionally low in gear and level to make that possible.
While there is no strict level requirement, we recommend to aim between levels 20 and 60 for practical reasons.
If you're looking for a fair PvP match, the exit is that way -> *exit*
A fair and good PvP battle is great fun! But totally not what this guild is about. We loose, by default. We will, at most, try to delay our loss. Making a fun show of an 'unwinnable' scenario is our motto.
Fashion and fashion statements
Wearing quality fighting gear is strictly prohibited. We just rose from the graves. Having a cudgel is already a luxury. Tattered cloth, a plank with a nail from your coffin, a rusty pitchfork... Those are the equipments we're looking for.
To emphasize our style, we'll hold a fashion statement before every coordinated attack, as part of our master plan to feed on the living. This week's fashion statement is wearing your jawbone pulled to the front and up. This will improve our aerodynamics, and thus the speed of our attack. They'll never see it coming!
Coordinated attacks, the zombie bashing fest
Once a week, we'll gather up in force (no matter how few we are) and attack. This fight will probably last no longer than 15 minutes but we intend to make those 15 minutes a hilarious blast
"Brains!"
No membership is required per se. We'll just publish our zombie bashing fun on this forum and anyone with a forsaken or horde death knight character is welcome, but we do ask participants to respect the low gear rules of the event.
Uncoordinated attacks
Outside the coordinated attacks, players are free to roam Duskwood, outside the town. It is permitted to attack players too (wohoo!) but not to -kill- any player with a FlagRSP or any RP tag, unless this has been coordinated with them.
If you can't live with this rule that's fine, you may still date my sister, but this may not be the guild you are looking for.
Skeleton masters and necromancers
Are you playing a powerful lock? Did you RP bringing zombies to life? Are you a Gnome that made a Frankenstein and a replicator to copy it? We might play along!
Whether you are Horde, or Alliance, we can rp being your minions brought to life and under your control. Coordinate this with "Of Duskwood" and "Undead of Duskwood". Keep in mind this guild targets alts though, so our activity may prove limited.
Attacking on the undead of Duskwood
Is your guild coming to aid Duskwood and slay some zombies? That's awesome. There are mobs to serve your purpose... But we could join the fun! Just give us a tell and we'll add it to our calender. We are alts, so it may be our participation will compete with our mains, but we can always try.
More information or joining
For more information, you may contact the following leaders of the "Of Duskwood" community:
- Ariden
- Luko
- Crojwin
(more to come, let me know if you need to be added)
Or poke an officer of the "Undead of Duskwood":
- Jeanpierre, Percey (alliance); Bern (Horde)
- Moritan (Horde), chareshÃa (alliance)
- Beacher (Horde)
- Vashlok (Horde)

Got my hopes up of another Horde event. Goodluck with this anyway, seems Duskwood is the place to be if you RP Alliance.

This will not be a one time event. It's all explained ^^ so who knows you could still bump in one time!

Added the names.
Thanks for the response so far! I'm already hatching a plan for the first zombie bash... I'm aiming this to be in a few weeks, giving people some time to level their zombies. More to come soon!

Hmmm...Perhaps these lost souls and mindless Zombies need to be taught the words of the Shadow! And...If in the doing we kill some alliance, it's all good right?

Nice idea this is. Makes me almost tempted to bring back my undead on the other account just to avoid getting the easy way to 20 hur hur.

Most awesome! As the Cult's dogma says: Every zombie is a blessed zombie!
If the Cult ever visits lovely Duskwood again, we'll be sure to investigate your services!
P.S. Damn you, Merv! You were faster than me!
