[A] Smiting the Heretic 14.03.2011
No religion can hope to remain unified. Where there is orthodoxy, there will inevitably be heresy. Church of the Holy Light is lenient to those deviations, but the Anethionean clergy is not. Especially not when the schism occured within the Anethionean Faith itself!
While Vicars of Anethion, Bernard, Waldemar and Ioanna solidified the power of the Chapter - many of the first followers of Anethion went their own way after Lordaeron's fall. News have reached the Inquisition about an Anethionean commune living in the sheltered mountains of Arathor. This heretical commune rejects the rituals of the Church and the trappings of the clergy, refuses to submit to the religious authority of Vicar Ioanna and above all - is led by a man who claims to be Anethion's son.
The Chapter of Holy Anethion is sending a small strike group to locate this heretical gathering and give them one last chance to accept the one true teaching at the end of the sword, or die defying it!
Chapter of Holy Anethion
The Chapter of Holy Anethion is a narrow-minded, monastic order dedicated to the destruction of the practitioners of the Dark Arts, enforcement of Faith upon every man, strict militant discipline, triumph over the horde and the megalomaniac dream of unifying humanity in a single, backward feudal empire. Shadowbreaker-knights of the Chapter roam the human lands in pursuit of 'Light's Enemies', striking them down without pity or afterthought, Witch-hunters prowl the shadows, listening and watching, ready to condemn a man to death or worse while the zealous preachers incite the masses with their doctrine of racial purity, jingoism, and hateful religious dogmatism.
Anethionean Commune
The commune is a tight group of Lordaeronian refugees, mostly from Tyr's Hand province. Sheltered in the mountainous harborage, these men prefer not to get involved in the troubles of the wider world. They have rejected private property and refuse to aknowledge any form of clergy. Instead of hymn and prayer, they believe that the sole way of worshipping the Light is through work and dedication to your fellow members of the community. Yet these men are not as naive as they seem; all of them have trained in the art of combat, and had frequent clashes with the ogres and the trolls which are plentiful in the remote regions of Arathor. They may all work the land, hunt or practice crafts, and subscribe to priesthood of all believers - but they will not abandon their hard-earned paradise, and are ready to defend it to the last.
Right, this is a short one-evening event in which the Chapter will eventually clash with this reclusive commune. Although this is strictly-speaking a guild event, you are welcome to join as a random member of the Chapter (would need to get Enchanter's Cowl, Brown Linen Robes and some weapons, and be a human of course) or member of the Commune (would need to get simple-looking commoner's outfit, Lordaeron-themed armor or some simple-looking armor). Alternatively, it should be possible to join as your own guild or character - but you should poke me in-game about this so we can sort it out in the best possible way.
The event will begin with the Chapter marching towards this remote harborage, which gives us and anybody who joined the Chapter's side some good time to get used to the role and socialize. Meanwhile, members of the Commune (some of whom are played by Chapterians) will likewise get a chance to get used to their role. Things will roll from here, and the outcome is not really set in stone! Mind, this event is not about some big, messy emote-fight. I cannot provide you with details without spoiling something, but take my word on it - there will be much, much more than emote-fighting there!
If you want to join, please post on this forum or contact me in-game!

And aye, i kinda got the idea from Corleth. We were joking around about sending one of our shadowbreakers on a quest to retrieve the Urn of Sacred Ashes, containing remains of Anethion, as a punishment Then tweaked the idea a bit, and this is what it came out at.
PS: No, you MAY NOT RP a dragon!

Sure Sai! However add a line that people should contact me on Exaythe/Ioánna if they want to join, or need more details or want to know the time of the event. I didn't give the precise location and time to avoid............INTERFERENCES!
