The gladiatorial games begins with individual single combat matches and which ever gladiator teams can survive the individual trials intact can advance to team combat matches to vie for the team championship. It is presumed that members of the teams who were unable to advance to team combat matches continue to fight in single combat matches to vie for the single combat championship.

The idea of underground gladiator bouts struck me as particularly interesting. I was wondering if there is interest in pursuing some kind of event(s) involving this. Suffice to say, I'm quite fond of the movie Gladiator, and I surely wouldn't mind setting this up with a couple of like-minded people.

Slaves could just be alts (or mains, if that suits your fancy), and should comprise the peoples that reside on Kalimdor -- so, orcs, humans, tauren, night elves, trolls, goblins, draenei and maybe an odd ogre or dwarf. Since the Crimson Ring is more of a Horde circuit, the gladiator masters would most likely be members of the Horde, though I suppose there can be an exception to that rule.

Anyway, before I ponder further, I would like to know if there is any interest in trying this out. Feel free to leave a response below!

In seeing more details etc, I would definately think about getting involved.

"The Crimson ring" eh? Is it just me or does the name remind you of the morning after eating a lot of curry and drinking sambuca?

Imo a better name would be "The Sanguine Ring"
