[Event] The Great Feast of the Earthmother
When: Sunday 28th November
Time: 13:45 server time
Where: Bloodhoof Village
Hosted by: The Sechalo
Many races of Azeroth have suffered much from both war and the shattering of the world; the Tauren are one of the few who have suffered more compared to others; their people now scattered, scared and isolated. Camp Taurajo stands ablaze, littered with the corpses of noble Tauren civilians. Freewind Post stands isolated, cut off from the world by the great depths of the sea, frequently under assault from the cowardly Grimtotem. Cliffwalker Post is left in ruin, burnt down by those who once were allies of the Tauren. Camp Mojoche, filled with Tauren refugees, struggling to cope with the increasing amount of scared and horrified civilians.
The Tauren are in need of help, and Torukan Sunwind believes if he can rally enough allies, he may be able to save many of his people. His father, Dhorune Sunwind, believed that everything in life had a natural balance, dreamt in forming a society of Tauren who would honour this balance; but that dream never came to be for Dhorune, for he was murdered in his sleep by those that shared his very home. The Grimtotem slaughtered countless Tauren, most likely the heaviest loss of life the Tauren have ever endured; Torukan was among those who escaped the treacherous slaughter, heading for sanctuary at Sun Rock Retreat. From there, Torukan learnt of his father's demise; rage rested heavily upon his heart, but he knew that he would avenge his father with honour, joining Baine's crusade in reclaiming Thunder Bluff. Once Thunder Bluff was reclaimed, Torukan began to work on his father's dream again, a society of Tauren, who honoured the balance of Nature. Once the Shattering begun, Torukan looked up towards to skies to see Mulgore shrouded in darkness, an Eclipse forming over their lands; perhaps this was Mu'sha protecting the Tauren within Mulgore from harm, whatever it was, Torukan knew it meant something.
All members of the Horde are invited to join Torukan and the Tauren at Bloodhoof Village for the feast of the Earthmother, where there will be celebration for the life that the Earthmother has bestowed upon all. There will be food, drink and fireworks;
This will also be the initiation of the society, The Sechalo, which is Eclipse in Taurahe to symbolise the unison of An'she and Mu'sha. If you wish to join The Sechalo, please be sure to bring your Tauren alt to the event, if you don't want to join, you're welcome to either come on a Tauren (if you have no Horde character) or join on your current Horde character (Orc, Troll, Blood Elf, Forsaken are all invited).
