Me leaving for now

As of tomorrow (the 17th) my account runs out, and then it's just a week left until I fly to Hanoi for my exchange studies where I'll stay until December. So I'd just like to say good bye and see you later to all of you, and wish you a great time in my absence.

Make sure you have a great time until I'm back and if the pre-cataclysm events happen. Take lots of pictures for me!

Hello everyone

I'm in Hanoi now and is studying for full. It's a bit of a challange to make my way around, with me not knowing a word in vietnamese and only a few of them knowing enough english beyond to tell me how many tens of thousand Dong something costs, but I get by.

Turns out the city turns 1000 years this year and that the celebrations have just begun, so that's interesting.

They do serve a very fascinating, for lack of a better word, drink somewhere around here. It's a glass of vietnamese vodka (yes, it does exist. Vietnamese wine too, apparently) in which they pour all the blood from a live cobra (before your eyes no less) and top it off with the cobra's heart still beating.
