An attempt to save Garawin Ladimore

Tuesday evening around 2100-22.00 gt this will happen.

Aviya Drenn will with Umpty if not the prisoner Garawin Ladimore has escaped bring him to Beggars Haunt. Where she will with Umpty’s offer end Umpty’s life for good, using the power of her body and her sacrifice of her own life, in an attempt to break a seal that keeps Garawin Ladimore in the grasp of darkness and shadow.

They have already managed to harm the seal but not to break it. Should Garawin flee or be saved before this can happen, they will simply search far and wide for him.

The ritual will take a while, and if you wish to come and see how it goes you are welcome to. Hand Aviya or Umpty a whisper when we are online around 2100. As we do not know when Garawin will be online or how he will respond to our intent, it can be a surprise for all of us.

If you do come without wanting to save him, or stop us from trying to save him, we will need every voice available to pray for him and his return to the light. Not to mention to keep him safe from the hands of The Sphere and any other wanting him. If you character don’t believe in the light it does not matter after all this is a warlock trying to do a good deed. And any pray uttered is strong no matter what or who you believe in.

Does this sound extreme, yes.. Will it be needed to end someones life to break the seal? Perhaps not. But as Umpty offered and oocly feels tired of Umpty this is a proper way to go^^ And we hope we will manage to do it without making it look and seem to horrible for whom ever decideds to come to aid us in our attempt to defeat the sphere's powers, and the dark magic holding him.

And hopefully if we have any luck it will:
1. Work well and Umpty dies and Garawin is again a free man of light.
2. Works and then The Sphere comes to get him.
3. Back fires and Aviya ends up worse off than she was to begin with /anything is possible.
4. Some consequences not yet though of.

5) Chapter comes and burns Umpty, Aviya, Garawin and the Sphere

His name. For so long she had waited to hear new news about him and now he was within reach. She could keep her word or die trying. Kachina’s words before she left was still clear inside her mind. That she had done all she could to keep Garawin safe, and me too.

It took a while to get to Darkshire. She knew The Chapter would not approve of what she was despite the document proving who she was working for. When she came there her thoughts was proved.

Later that night an old friend of hers came to her rescue together with Garawin’s guards. As the guards left them alone with him they tired to crush the seal that seemed to hold the darkness inside of him. A cracking sound was heard but nothing changed. As Garawin drifted in and out of consciousness they started planning.. Umpty’s words and wish to sacrifice her self to break the seal inside of him filled her with sadness but she knew it might be the only way, as she had intended to let her own life be taken to keep the promise to the woman who once brought him back.

Their hands met, tears was shed but they agreed to meet the next evening prepared to their part.

When Aviya walked into the tavern she knew something was wrong. Umpty was not waiting for her and two humans spoke of Forsaken that had attacked the town. Without checking the basement for Garawin she went outside and broke half of her promise to her new superior. She summoned her horse and set out through the forest. As she stopped gazing out on a small hill top she heard and felt her presence and her voice . Without any hesitation she followed it. Only to see something she had not expected.

Umpty laying on the ground, hooded men and women. She knew she could not fight, talking was the only option she had. It took a little while before she noticed Garawin’s body behind them.

She tried to claim Umpty as hers, and some how it seemed as if they believed her as they did nothing to try to take Umpty from her, quite the opposite they seemed to want them both gone. Knowing she might never get the chance again she placed her self in front of Umpty’s body on the ground.

Her promise to Umpty, the words flew through her mind and she knew she might die before Umpty recovered enough to even attempt to break the seal. It was not how she planned it all her preparations was useless now as she could not fight them or use her powers in their sight..

All she could do was watch, talk to Garawin’s unconscious body hoping he somehow might hear her.
Shadow and fired was thrown her way and she could not about it.. She took the pain until she could not take it any longer.

When she woke he stood over her, confusion was all she could feel. She was alive, in a bed and he stood there.. His eyes would not meet hers, her words seemed to not be heard. But before he left he caressed her cheek.
