New Forum Style?

So I believe that the current forum style makes it kind of hard to read text here.
Especially polls are hard to view, but I also think that the topics navigation is straining on the eyes, because it's a light blue colour on a white background.

So, my question is as follows: Do you believe we need a new forum style? If yes, then why so? or why not?..

Please no! I like the current style. It makes it nice and easy to read, calm on the eyes and even abit worksafe, wich is what I do it for! The original WoW forums are so obvious and dark that I can't roam them at work.

Well I was only suggestion a minor colour change, such as using a darker blue shade for the topics navigation since I would like for things to be a bit more easy on the eyes.

It would be great if we could have several themes/styles to chose form, but what are the limitations on these forums?..

The forums are very nice, the only thing I can name is the Poll problem, not being able to read Polls that is.

The current forum layout is a horrifying mess of mis-formatted content containers, broken stylesheets and general ugliness.
The banner contest seems to be coming along, but that's only one issue.
Need someone to fix the forum's templates and all such.

Personally I think the forum looks nice and clean. Not a too fancy look, yet easy on the eye. The only thing I do agree needs sorting is the poll issue, and perhaps get a darker text for those that have problems with the current one due to their eyes. However, those things will be sorted regardless anyhow, as well as the banner once the competition end.

Forums looks good as it is, though the text for poll options could do with some brightening.

Also that button with Share Topic/Topic actions or whatever could be improved on.

It's not hating. I'm glad someone took initiative to set all of this up, I truly am, and I commend their effort. Although that doesn't mean we shouldn't try to help with improvements by giving feedback, thus the poll above.

I don't mind it tbh, it's good to see some feedback.

However as of for style and overall looks that has nothing to do with it being easy or not to brows through the forum, I doubt there will be much change save from the banner, for the simple fact that everyone has different tastes, thus there will always be someone being unhappy with any major changes.

Not hating. Just pointing out the technical problems.
The template is crooked. Lots of formatting issues.
Such as overlapping elements, absent backgrounds and absent text content padding.

The above post is indeed pointing out existing problems that are not too hard to fix, with some basic ACP/CSS/etc tweaking. Same goes for the light blue that annoys some people (in the text area, mind you. It looks great on buttons, in the dark grey and black background).

But that's a whole league away from "give an entirely new forum style!!!"

And sure as hell it's hating. :< Since I like it how it is now and don't want it changed except for the poll thing.

I think the general style of it is quite fine. As mentioned before, it's a neutral skin (not to mention work-proof), though since a banner still has to be put in place anyway, it can't hurt trying to improve things a little more and have the style be in harmony with the banner.

Polls needs another background as mentioned, and the light blue font on white background of topic titles can be a bit hard on the eyes.

Oh, and there's also the redundancy of having usernames appear both above each post and below the avatar simultaneously.

But aye, overall, the forum has a pleasant colour scheme.

Just needs a few fixes here and there for the aforementioned problems, and I concur on the light blue. I don't find it painful to the eyes, but it should indeed be altered to a darker version of the same colour, perhaps, thus creating more contrast.
