Probably the same target audience as Ren and Stimpy because, honestly, it seems similar just with a different style and colours.

It's really, really strange to find something like that in Japan over the US, not to mention the art style, setting and everything else is an American style.

Can't be any worse than some US shows though, I mean...I don't even think kids realised in Ahhhhh Real Monsters that the monsters were eating, drinking and swimming in sewage aka shit and piss.
