ZEE RULES
Races;
Races permitted for Rp to begin with* are:
-Humans
-Orcs
-Dwarves
-Naga+ (Lack of Inhabitable Waters.)
-Tauren
-Ogre
-Harpy+ (Icy Winds would make flight impossible.)
-Forsaken
-Trolls
-High/Blood Elves
-Night Elves+ (Architecture relies on nature, there is no greenery or way to grow.)
*When I say begin with, the following can be 'summoned' or worked into you via corruption;
-Demons
-Scourge (This cannot be done as Forsaken, obviously)
-Elementals (As a faction of their own, obviously Naga/Human Mages can use summoned.)
-Old God/Demi-God
Survival Races;
Certain races are barred from being playable in this theme, they are noted with a '+' follow by a reason in bracets.
Heros;
A faction can play host to a total of five heros, the issue here is 'levels'. The following are the ranks of heroes, how many of that rank you are allowed and the assigned levels;
-Primary(King, Queen, General etc.), Allowed Amount: 1. Max Lvl: 15.
-Secondary(Lieutenants, Consorts, Right Hands etc.), Allowed Amount: 2. Max Lvl: 10
-Tertiary(Ambassador, Random Hero, Prince.), Allowed Amount: 3. Max Lvl: 5
You'll find that your leader remains in your capital under guard and is rarely used in combat, as it would be with a real King etc. Your business will be mostly handled by the Secondary Heroes whilst your 'other' rp, such as rping a totally different character unaffiliated with your Faction would be done through Tertiary.
Armies;
In a game where you can spawn an unlimited amount of units, we have to be reasonable. As we saw when we got a bit 'over trigger happy' in our tutorial games it's a bit silly with so many. So I have to ask, be realistic. If you are going to war, you don't need a billion footman. Maybe 12 footman, 4 priests, 6 knights and 4 sorceresses would do. If I feel you are being unrealistic i'll ask you to remove some units. You know you have too many when you look at one and say, 'what's he for?' Every unit spawned should have a purpose.
Regeneration; I've noticed that some units die and instantly are replaced. This isn't how the world works and shouldn't be how this world works. Do NOT automatically replace a unit for the sake of winning a battle. If you go into a battle with 12 units, you wait until the battle is over before AT YOUR BASE you begin to train new units.
Survival Armies; Armies are severely reduced in Survival, and the only way you can add to your army would be to 'join' with your units lost out in the snow. That's how you'll have to rp it.
Themes;
The current theme we will be going with will be 'Expedition'.
During recent seissmic activity several plateaus have risen out of the sea, whilst others have sunk. Dwarven expeditionists reported back to Ironforge that there were rich minerals in this risen land and bountiful livestock. With the information being leaked to all races, the competition is on to see who can establish a foothold in this new region. However, with the Alliance and Horde battling it out for control over a land not known to them, what natives lurk in the forests and seas, unhappy about these new invaders.
Chose your side, Expeditionist or Native. The fight is on.
The Second Theme we will be trying is 'Great Nations.'
The World is not young, for centuries mighty dynasties have risen and fallen. Humans, Orcs, Elves and Others alike have founded mighty cities, towns and strongholds bent on safeguarding their hard-fought land. However, this fragile continent is not at peace. Tensions in politics and war teeter it on the edge of destruction. Will you take on the Role of a Mighty King? Or a Lone Traveler?
The Darkness looms over the land. Chose your side.
The Third Theme to be introducted is 'Survival.'
Snow. That's all you can see. That's all anyone can see. It came without warning, prophets screamed about it, old soothsayers warned of it. Did we listen? The Blanket of death fell upon our cities, our towns, our rivers and our people. Sweeping all life under the white, icy sea of snow. What is left? No one knows. What creatures survived this onslaught? What creatures have found it to be a better home? Venture outside the safety of your hovel if you dare. Attempt to rebuild. But I would not hold out hope.
May the Gods have mercy on us.
Diplomacy;
Expedition Diplomacy; Whilst we are in a world where the Alliance and Horde excist, these islands should be treated like America was during the 1600s. Information would take -ages- to get back to the mainland. Meaning that the orcish encampments may make a truce with the humans to remove the natives. Or perhaps the humans may destroy a dwarven encampment knowing they can blame it on the horde or the natives.**
Great Nations Diplomacy; In the Great Nations theme there will be no 'definite lore' in the sense of WoW. Imagine centuries ago there was a few families of each race and these families sailed away and found a new land, uninhabited. Not in touch with what we'd call 'Azeroth'. Therefore Diplomacy between various races could be radically different. Orcs could be the greatest allies to the humans whilst the dwarves are human slaves.
Survival Diplomacy; The world is totally shattered. Covered by a blanket of snow that shows no sign of leaving. Cities are descimated and villages lost completely. Diplomacy has become pacting for survival, or will old hatreds truly penetrate this world? Diplomacy is a free for all in this theme, as the pressures of exstinction may fuel some's bloodrage whilst it may calm some other hatreds.
Building;
Expedition Building; At the beginning of each match I will set a twenty minute timer. In this time, you must prepare your starting base, remember that we have just landed. So your base will become larger over time. However, after twenty minutes you MUST be able to rp and interact to whomever comes knocking. YOu may continue building whilst, as someone may not really take an interest 'yet' but with so many players, we'll have to get the ball rolling. And try to keep up with the text, if it gets so unbearable, you can take it to whispers, unlikely it would get that chaotic.**
Great Nations Building; This is alot different than Expedition. There will be an additional five minutes on the timer as some people may want to create mighty citadels. However, you are NOT required to make a giant city. If you want to play a loner, by all means. However I know some people really wanted the chance to make large cities.
Survival Building; The main idea for building in this theme is literally to survive. However you can claim that your prophet saw this coming, and your people listened. Perhaps you built an underground city. (Manageable by the map). However for the most, it will be 'slowly' building up a small settlement and gradually expanding.
'Baddies, Events and Narration.
I want to attempt to found a sort of 'dungeon master' kind of feel. In other words, I may suddenly bring up a narrator who announces a massive change, perhaps a forest fire that completely levels the neighbouring woods. Or a sudden oceanic shift that has caused a surge of makura to surface and attack coastal towns. Keeping the feel of an active world going.
This will also go for a special part of the map called 'the arena'. This is NOT to be used as it will be the stage for special events.**
** Apply only under the Maelstrom Map and Expedition Theme.

SotDRP is a map in Warcraft III where basically you can build whatever you want with limitless supplies and custom builders. You can then rp what you wish, a human nation, an orcish tribe or an evil cult. Anything! It's quite fun!

Re: SotDRP Defias Thread - Matches, Rules and Players Discussion.
Gunnell, i'd be absolute honoured.
Basically it is the single best rp on WCIII.
You begin with a 'Spawner'. A circle unit that can basically control everything.
You use simple commands to do things such as;
Spawn 01 footman, this spawns a footman works for all units.
There is also amny builders, custom items etc to make settlements for your people!
Say I wanna be humans, I spawn 05 peasant.
I then build a settlement. With this settlement I make 'heroes' regular hero units that I assign 'names' and rp with them! It needs to be seen to be done!
Added a list of players.

Hrm. May aswell. I'll go fetch my WC3.
Are we gonna relate this back to WOW? if I enjoy the charecter enough I may do..
Maybe pick a point in lore all races could've met and built a base and fought, or RP'd together etc.

Re: SotDRP Defias Thread - Matches, Rules and Players Discussion.
Here's some details for those who know what they mean.
We'll be playing on the Frozen Throne.
The Map will be called 'Maelstrom' although for a name like that, there is a shocking lack water.
The theme will be 'free within realism'. The allowed races will be all but the 'scourge, demonic legions etc.' However, through story arcs and summoning, these can be achieved.
With such quality role players, I think we can make this an -amazing- game. And these do tend to go on for a long time, so buckle in newbies. We'll probably be having the match within the next few days when everyone can be present.
Any questions, ask away!
And Bennedict, don't worry. You can download it on the day. Unless you really must have it now!
OH and add me on AnaeiTrollbane

Hrm. An island brought up by the Cataclysm. Various war efforts of different races begin to explore to see what they can reap from it?

But but but...
That game costs like 100danish coins? Tis too muuuch!
... I'll buy it in a sec.
Anyhow, to the scenario, how about we say that we're various orders that have recently heard of some newly discovered lush and rich on resources land, and decided to make our way to see if it was something interesting.
A land where old grievances are buried and new allies are found!
