New group- Northrend RP.

Just thought...As there is a large continent up north full of potential RP, and that some people have decided to harness that. Fordragon Company etc. How about a group for people interested in RPing up north, a place that people can discuss potential events up there. W-PvP aswell

Northrend is a beautiful place! Don't let it go to waste.

My biggest cringe is I -LOVE- the atmosphere of Northrend. I've always tried to have the occasional once in a blue moon RP to actually be set in Northrend. My cringe comes from the fact hardly anyone even goes there to RP. There is SO MUCH potential there for both sides and it should really be used more.

Like there's a fleet of boats in Howling fjord perfect for those navy types wanting to simulate sailing.

And the funny thing is, everyone has a reason to be there....Any guild can group together and help up there!

Neshkor, High Reaver of the Ebon Hold held practicly all our events in Northrend. This was of course on Horde.

Northrend has maybe the greatest potential of all continents. With many small forts and beautiful zones. I am for more RP up north.

Especially in Howling Fjord I think it is, there is a brilliant place with Alliance ships facing off against Horde ships, and on the land the Alliance have made a small fort out off rubbel and driftwood, and outside there are Horde and Alliance troops fighting, that place would be a brilliant place for PVP-RP Events with the right story.

Problem is, the moment a Guild on the realm defeats the Lich King, the war up North will be pretty much over, even if there are many resources about, I think the Cataclysm will force both factions to fully focus on the new threats at hand. ;I

QQ, when there was a war we all stayed down south! Now there isn't, its only fitting we use the wasteland for our advantage!

Feels like the RP community is always an expansion or two behind. =P

I gotta plan for the awesome WPvP.

There is a constant battle between Horde and Alliance NPC's at the Vengance Landing. We could have our own "Omaha Beach" event there. Horde starts in their city, Allies on the ships at the sea (The fleet with sick crews, but it can be ignored). Then, Allies make landing and try to take over the Horde town. The battle between NPC's, will even make this event look more real.

I've been trying to get something arranged in Northrend for well over a year now, though it's proven difficult to find the right opponent with the right IC motive. Koz isn't the only one who would rather see a cooperation between the Horde and the Alliance against the Lich King, though with the latest developments in Icecrown, perhaps it gives a few more opportunities to explore the northern wastes a little more.

One idea I had for the last Anniversary Wars was that the Alliance would have to storm the beach in the Howling Fjords. If they would break through, the battle would be continued further in land until they would have made their way to the Westguard eep there, and would have tried to hold it.

We did manage to hold the event I had planned after that - the fight at the Venture Bay over the resources there, which was planned to be held after the Alliance would have been able to make it to the nearby fort. Due to a lack of time though, the first event was cancelled and we moved on straight to Venture Bay.

One thing I remember back in the earliest days of WotLK was how the Old Lordaeron invited us over to Venomspite and we aided them in attacking Wintergarde. Great fun! I would have put an RP hub somewhere out there for OotRB as well, but we usually simply have too many low levels to usually allow too many people to settle there.

This discussion has sparkled my interests though, so maybe there's yet room for such things.

Well, I can safely say that Rasonal is always eager and up for a RP/PVP fight, same goes for the most of us Cultists.

We've held some events in Northrend before, specifically W-PvP ones with us venturing from Venomspite onwards to Alliance settlements, etc.

As mentioned before, low levels will always be an issue afronting this. That said, guild's interacting helping towards the war effort could spark some great roleplay.

For instance, the 60X providing illegal explosives to the cannoneers on Orgrim's Hammer? That's just from a thieves point of view. Though perhaps it would be a good opportunity to get some friendly RP between horde guilds, rather than being hounded criminals, as usual.
