That guy who said that also shot his parents, tortured his siblings, cut up his cat, and least but not last hung his classmates.

Dewd.. Old disney was like uber-non politically correct, racist, dark, evil, smashing each other...

Aye that was him! And you will notice that both The Land Before Time and An American Tail are depressing all the way until the end. He obviously wasen't involved with the rest of the (11?) Land Before Time movies, which is why they suck, being too happy and with alot of crappy songs.

The Death of Littlefoots mother? Littlefoot walking around being sad by almost the rest of the movie, seeing only glimps of hope when he think he sees his mother and it turns out to be some smoke? And in An American Tail, the kid runs around most of the movie almost finding his parents, he gets captured by Cats or Rats, dun remember which. There's that scene during the night at that slum where he gets bullied by the other mice because he misses his father? But ofcourse everything gets happy in the end, which was what he said was the only thing required in a cartoon for the kids to be able to watch it Razz

I guess we have different opinions on what makes movies depressing. To me those are hardships, obstacles and challenges to be overcome, not a depressing series of events. But nvm, it doesn't really matter.

If you've overlooked it I would recommend you check out "The Secret of NIMH". It's one of Don Bluth's best.

Edit: And on topic a bit! I don't really know what would fit Ataris perfectly as far as voice goes. But I've always loved Markal's voice, so I'll go with that for now. Smile

Ruby, the brown haired lass, for Annie's voice! It's not spot on (Southern US accent rather than a northern English one, for one), but the combination of rough voice and the temper is absolutely ace.

Best part is probably 1:00-2:00, though everything up to 2:00 is worth watching.

Tira's Gloomy voice from Soul Calibur IV fits Elizabeth quite well, I could only find a crap video though, the voice that suits Elizabeth starts at 0:35

Tyross' voice was a bit of a bitch to nail, that is, untill it suddenly dawned on me.

I'm going to go for John Rhys-Davies (maybe a bit younger), he sounds awesome, just need the beard.
