Questions about the server

I'm highly interested in starting playing again and I chose this server, I just need to know one thing.

Are there que times? And if there are, how often does it occur and how long is the approx waiting time?

There has yet to be any queue times in my time here on Defias the last 4 months. Although obviously there could be some with Draenor happening.

So it is safe to start off in this server? Since it's pretty populated and I wouldn't want to sit back waiting hours to play.

There may be a bit of queueing over the next few days, but don't expect any after that until the next expansion comes.

I doubt it'll be hour long queues, given that there's no queues currently. It'd be different for a realm like Outland for example which already has long queues.

Don't loosen your grip! Withstand the queue! The longer it last, the more noobish, trollish, and other non-rp players will go elsewhere!

The only queue times I've seen since vanilla where for battle.net login.

right now it's about 17 minute Que.. Thursday evening, first day of expension.

I spent an hour and 10 minutes on queue for AD earlier ._.

Maybe roll on one of the servers merged with Defias? Do those have login queueue's too?

In the case that you've been patient and waited the queue (which as said above is the same), you'd have 90 levels of catch-up to play. These might be considerably less laggy than what the rest of the server would be doing, though, and might in the end result in you having a smoother and less queueridden way from 90-100 when you get there.

I never suffered the queues! So there's that...

I was off from work for the days that there were queues, the queues pretty much stopped around Wednesday, I was back at work Tuesday after release, up early / all nighters during the days I were off to make sure I didn't suffer queues.

A simple case of no life.

Queues?

In my case, during WoD launch, i was having a LAN with 3 other friends. We stayed up prettymuch 24/7 in total, since when one was sleeping, other were gaming, and then we change shifts.

There was always someone to hit Spacebar every 10 minutes to keep all 4 computers, all 4 World of Warcraft accounts logged-in.

Only times we logged out was during server maintenance/crash. Fortunately we had all passwords written up, so even that was not a problem if one was sleeping.
