[A] Dance of the White Stag

Ladies and Gentlemen, kick off your shoes and dance barefoot with the Kaldorei. The doors to the Dance of the White Stag will be open for the first time to our Allies.
To be held near the Howling Oak, or just out in the grounds of the City.Around the first week of August (TBC)
Date now set, Friday the 8th August from 8:30pm onwards
Please keep any fel, undead or tainted pets/friends/tendencies under wraps during your visit. As the Sentinels -will- shoot warlocks on sight. Being held on Kaldorei soil, respect our outlook, expect to be required to operate under our laws.
(Been chatting to Maelmoor about running a diplomatic event at each embassy of the Alliance, and I've thought up a dance/ball type idea that we might be able to host for the Kaldorei turn) Kinda like a DM'ed event, (but more chilled out with no expected blood shed) something completely light-hearted/stupid/drunken with a caller shouting out some of the steps. Do not be shy of using your /dance emote for this. Be a shy wallflower, or come to strut! Expect it to get messy and to be forced to dance/mingle with some different RP'ers
The tide: A dance of persuasion
Two dancers start the evening, soon to split (The tide going out) they each select and cajole a random new partner from the side of the dance floor (the tide returns). The four dancers now continue until the musicians dictate the moment when each of them needs to peel off and find another new partner from those watching.
The tide goes out and returns throughout the song until the dance floor is fairly full.
The moon: A dance of chance
Ladies form a circle, the men a larger circle around them. You start the dance with your partner as the first notes are struck, but the circles move in opposite directions. The dance turns three times. Dance with someone unexpected as the moon turns.
The Stag: A dance of prowess
The bravest men dance in the centre, to compete in Cenarius' honour. A chance for them to strut their best moves, to impress, tease and tempt those that watch. Ladies chose carefully. The crowned 'Stag' of the evening is he who can attract the most dancers to his side before the music stops. If the crown were to fall to a non-Kaldorei, this would be scandalous (so non-Kaldorei are very encouraged to go for it ^^)
The arrow: A dance of declaration
An open dance, a chance to mingle. Seek out a chosen one and try your luck. Shoot an imaginary arrow, see if they are willing to catch it. If so, celebrate and have a dance with them. You may switch targets at any time or choose to dance alone. If your shot fails... simply try another (or hit the bar!)

Really glad the event worked out ^^ and was amazed so many stood forward for the Stag competition in particular.
Our Zulath was the proud winner of the antler crown in the end, gathering the most ladies to his side.
Though, it was this dancing emote that utterly laid waste to our guildchat with laughter:

Cal certainly enjoyed dancing the evening away with a procession of elves, men, worgen, pandaren and even skipping around with a cat form druid.
'til next year eh?
