The Blades of Hellscream

Though it pains me to do so on these forums I figure it might be sensible to advertise the Blades of Hellscream!

A guild tag and a sexy tabard for all your Kor'Kron plot needs. Contact me on Grim or Broklaw if you want any characters in the guild.

It's not a 'proper' guild as such, but merely a tool to use if you want to start roleplaying Kor'Kron to enliven your guild's RP plotlines. This is of particular relevance with the up coming resistance against Garrosh, etc.

I am a merciless lord and master though, and anyone using a guild I've formed to OOC torment people or cause drama heedlessly will suffer a swift /gkick.

Don't wait for us to ask for the Kor'kron, go and stick their noses in everyone's business if they want it or not. IC, that's what they're doing.

Well, I don't have time to fully dedicate myself to roleplaying a Kor'Kron alt and getting as into it as you're suggesting.

Which is why I'm opening the guild up, so anyone who does want to do that can at least do it in a vaguely Kor'Kron-esque tabard and with a vaguely Kor'Kron-esque guild tag under their name.

erwtenpeller tells me stories of the Marauders from time to time and I have to say that I really admire your villain alt guilds. What a clever way to construe conflict! It sounds like a fun place to have an alt, too. Who doesn't want to cross over to the other side from time to time to bash some skulls?

One question though: how do you deal with the classical role-playing problem of not being able to portray the raw power you are playing your character has? If I understand correctly, the Kor'kron are some of the baddest, most fearsome Hordies out there you don't want to mess with; but when you have limited numbers, that can be tough to portray: good luck intimidating groups of players in a believable fashion when they outnumber you five to one!

I hope the players you interact with respond to you in such a fashion that allows you to be as menacing as you deserve to be. That'd be neat!

Well, its a conundrum I'll give you that.

And it's a conundrum I don't have a clear answer for. I've RP'd Kor'Kron alts that have interacted with the Marauders and the Red Blade. The players from both guilds were good enough to not require a great deal of power playing from the Kor'Kron.
The Red Blade especially roleplayed this wonderful sense of hating the Kor'Kron character without becoming overtly threatening and with their officery types almost hissing at the rank and file when they almost but not quite got violent.
The Marauders, being multi racial have a superb habit of just slipping into various non-orcish languages and looking very sheepish when a Kor'Kron appears. And being a warband, the Marauders have so far managed to quietly slip away when the Kor'Kron start stomping their feet.

Ideally, a Kor'Kron roleplayer shouldn't need to godmote anything. The sheer facts of the lore behind them should make most other Horde players roleplay accordingly.

This has turned into a bit of a lack-of-coffee-ramble. I might come back later on once I've consumed a few more caffeinated drinks and write something that makes more sense. Or I might just leave it and pretend I'm all mysterious and intelligent.

Also, I should add for clarity. The Blades of Hellscream aren't open to just orcs. Other races can join too BUT with the caveat that they can only ever be a:

Conscript - press-ganged, threatened and / or bullied into serving against their will. Think cannon-fodder or someone with expertise the Kor'Kron don't have (for example, a snivelling, cowardly goblin engineer).

Informant - payed to spy, steal and inform on the other Horde races. They might be idealogically on the same side as the Kor'Kron (for whatever reason), they may be using the Kor'Kron to further their own plans or they may just be serving for gold.

These two ranks are naturally the lowest in the guild hierarchy. An orc in the Blades of Hellscream will always outrank a non-orc IC.

Aside from that, I wanted to have a kor'kron presence at the execution of a traitor tonight, I have invited a few members from Crothu's Kor'kron unit and if any of you Blades are free, then do come by as well.

You're not going to get any mains on DefiasRP, or on your own forum. Though perhaps that might be part of this guilds charm, just an alt guild?

I'll reiterate for clarity. I'm not necessarily asking for mains, I'm merely offering the guild tag and tabard for people who want to roleplay Kor'Kron. I wasn't aware Crothu was doing something similar, so perhaps there's no need for the Blades of Hellscream outside the Shatterskull Marauder plotlines.
If no one wants to join, then so be it. But the offer is there.

And yes, by definition an 'alt-guild' is merely a guild for alts... We in the Marauders have found alt-guilds extremely useful for our own plots as they seem to focus people's innate need for an enemy whilst still remaining controllable and 'in the family'. Plus, sometimes they end up taking on a life of their own which is an added bonus.

Hopefully that'll come about. At the moment its looking unlikely the BoH will be harrassing anyone outside of the Marauders, hence me offering out invites for others.

I was about to say, Murgh and Gugh have got themselves a nice little "Vanguards of Hellscream" guild going on at the minute that they're just starting up. Might be worth giving them a poke.

Especially since I'm torn between them and these Blades for the lowly position of Conscript for Senariul here.

Reading about this makes me a little envious of the Horde and slightly anxious to finally dye my mouse red!

I wouldn't know what to play as, though. I never found a Horde race I am comfortable role-playing. It always feels slightly...off. I guess I just have difficulties getting into the tribal mindset, maybe?

I can't do the accent justice.

I thought the same when I first started to play a troll, I got the hang of it pretty quickly, and started to find it a lot of fun to mess with it and make the accent unique and so thick, barely anyone knows what he's on about.

Tonight, the Blades of Hellscream threatened a veteran orc warrior into spying on the Marauders. The threat was to the safety of his daughter, currently serving with the Kor'Kron.

And the Blades of Hellscream's nefarious 'alliance' with the Ashen Ascendancy today left much of Camp Mojache in ruins!
