[H] The Darkspear Tribe

After year-long absence from the Horde RP scene, the Darkspear Tribe is back in force and under new management! We're a Horde loyal, Troll-only heavy role-playing guild, mainly focused on playing Trolls rallying under the banner of the Darkspear, and more importantly, the Horde.

While we mainly focus on tribal life in and around the major Darkspear settlements, primarily Sen’jin Village, we also aim to improve relations with our allies, and do not hesitate to pick up our weapons to assist them against the Horde’s enemies, or in other matters. Our beliefs and ways are still very much Troll to the core, though new ways have been found to earn the spirits’ favor since joining the Horde, in favor of the old ways of living sacrifices and cannibalism. As a Horde troll, you will also be expected to adhere to its code of honor (Or at least try…). While good excuses could be found for trolls from other tribes, we only accept trolls from the ones explicitly aligned with the Horde, those being the Darkspear, Revantusk or Shatterspear tribes, to avoid unnecessary bloodshed from those who are not aware of your character’s backstory!

We plan to have at least two events per week, a training/sermon on Tuesday evenings (One of each every two weeks), and a Village Hours event on Thursdays, consisting of mainly random RP, with other RP events to further the guild’s story in between. We do encourage members to start plots of their own, so that they also contribute towards keeping RP flourishing within the guild, and to keep their own characters fun to play. Though primarily focused on Role-play, we also enjoy other aspects of the game, and may set up a RBG team or a raiding team in the future if numbers allow. Naturally, regular ZA/ZG as well as old content runs will soon be in order to obtain some swell looking gear for your troll!


Rules:
Naturally, there are a few rules we expect our fellow tribesmen to adhere to, to make the experience as pleasant for others as well as for yourself.

First of all, abide by RP rules at all times, meaning no bunny hopping like on steroids, or OOC messages in the /s, /e and /y channels. Furthermore, avoid stuff like metagaming and godemoting. Also, stay away from bots, third party software or anything else that may violate Blizzard’s terms of use. We also expect you to know your lore. We don’t expect you to know every little detail of Warcraft’s lore by heart, but a general understanding is appreciated.

Death Knights are accepted within our ranks, provided they are at least level 60.

Lastly, be active. We do not carry dead meat, and inactivity for more than two weeks without prior warning will get you booted from the guild.


Ranks:

Note: These ranks represent a rather informal hierarchy IC, our members all being more or less equals.

Villager: The rank you’ll be given upon first joining, villagers are the common trolls of the tribe. While not gifted with the abilities of Witch Doctors or Spirit Talkers, these trolls are every bit as essential to the tribe’s continued survival. This is a perfectly viable rank to remain on, if you wish to play something more down to earth, like a raptor handler or a fisherman.

Apprentice: Trolls who wish to pursue the ways of the spirits, may become apprentices to those seasoned in them. After a long and rigorous training, they may receive the rank of mystic, becoming spirit talkers, witch doctors, hexers or similar.

New Blood: The second of our trainee ranks, new bloods are trolls wishing to dedicate themselves to protecting the tribe’s interests through combat. They will be subjected to heavy training, becoming fine warriors in their own right, proud and deadly.

Mystic: Upon completing your final tests as an apprentice, your troll may ascend to the rank of mystic, most likely becoming a Witch Doctor, hexer, Spirit Talker or something similar. Mystics may also choose to take on apprentices of their own, passing on their sacred knowledge to other capable individuals.
(Note: If your troll is already one of these when applying, please add a section in your application showing that you are indeed capable of role-playing these properly, you will receive the rank of mystic then upon joining.)

Thraze: When a new blood passes his or her final tests, they will become a Thraze, a blade of the tribe, strong and fierce warriors defending the tribe’s interests with a strong hand when required. They may be berserkers, headhunters, wildstalkers or similar.
(Note; the Thraze and New blood Ranks are limited to Rogues, Warriors, Hunters, Enhancement Shaman and Death Knights.)

Officer: OOC officers of the tribe, approach these trolls for any questions concerning lore or the guild, or anything else you might need help with. (Officer jokes currently available for five gold, prices subject to change)

Guild Master: The Bauss.


How to join:
We use a system based on an OOC interview with an IC introduction afterwards, followed by an invite to the guild and corresponding feedback regarding your character's background and/or roleplay, where necessary. If you do prefer apps, we still accept those, over at our forums at Darkspear.forumotion.com.
