Forum game - Movie quiz II

Reviving this since the first thread reached the forum limits or sumtin. Rules:

A still pic from a movie is posted and people are called to guess which movie it is from. Of course, it shouldn't be a too obvious one, like let's say T1000 from Terminator or Jake Sully from Avatar. However, it shouldn't be a too vague one either, like a glass on a table

The first person to guess the movie right, gets to post the next picture and so on and so forth.
Tip: be careful to not give away the picture's origin, by having a too obvious path which leads back to the movie.

Edit: Keep in mind that if you answer correctly, you should post the next picture. If the person who's supposed to post a new picture doesn't do so within 24 hrs after receiving a confirmation about being correct, anyone is free to post a new one.
Additionally, if the person who currently has a picture up and there's no reply from him/her to guesses or any further pictures within 48 hrs, anyone is free to post a new one.

And how exactly will you prevent certain people from posting? I could adjust the rules, with let's say "if no suggestions are made within 24 hrs, another picture from the same movie must be provided", but that wouldn't even help in some difficult cases.

I'd say people take it down a notch and make it slightly easier. Would be nice to have known movies be presented through somewhat cleverly taken screenies. Speaking of which, someone was slacking, so here we go again.



(Regardless, the one posting the picture or a reply to one, should keep their eyes here regularly. It's a shame to have pics or replies being forgotten by their own posters.)

It doesn't prevent anyone from posting but the thread turned into an impossible movieshot where there were maybe five people at best participating and it took days to guess stuff.

It's more fun to try famous movies and find clever, vague screenshots that still make it a search, like Mandui said. When a movie is guessed, people who stumble upon game should be able to go: "Ooow! I know that one" instead of: "Wtf, never heard of that".

I think the problem is that a lot of the times, most people havent really heard or seen of these movies :p. I think the only one I ever got right was the Brokeback one you posted, Mandui <3

It's not an animated one, it's a normal and pretty well known one too. Tip: the scene is from the beginning of the movie.

I am well aware I guessed right, but it being a weekend I was kinda away. It's hardly forever when it's guessed on Friday and not posted by Sunday... but the rules are 24 hours, so I am cool with that.

That said I also don't mind not playing cos it seems I break the game anyways, poor me. I don't try to be too hard. But

"Well known" is ok as a rule, but some people can argue that the moon is made of cheese if they want, so they'd either accept or reject movies as "easy" or "well known" just because they think they are or aren't. Probably me included. Clever shots taken from film (for example if you *cough*haveacopyonyourdrive*cough*) can be groovy. I tried a few.
