Coinage

Can someone tell me the official names for the coppers, silvers and gold coins of Warcraft please?

There is no unified name for coin in Warcraft. In Stormwind, they have been called copper penny, silver groat and gold sovereign - least according to the sources linked in the Wowpedia page.

Globally however I believe they are simply called Copper, Silver and Gold coins. The value of the coins is always the same, regardless of the name, as it's made from a metal which always have the same value, providing that they are of the same size.

I would personally simply use the term Copper, Silver and Gold Coin(s). It makes it easier to everyone, rather than when you go and ask your customer to play "fifteen silver groats". I am pretty sure the reaction is: "the what?".
