[A] The Shady Lady: Liqour in the front, poker in the rear.

Hello and welcome to the Shady Lady, want a drink? Some Company? Maybe even a game of Poker? We have most, but we still have huge gaps in our staff. We are looking for ”law abiding” citizens to fill our ranks to make sure the bar runs smoothly, afterall. Quincy needs his sleep aswell. Draenei and Night Elves need not apply.

We are currently looking for:

Bouncers - you know, don’t really need much explaining. It’s to keep trouble away.

Cleaners – Not only to clean the bar itself but also to act as street sweepers.

Barstaff – Who else are going to serve us drinks?

The Shady Lady is looking to be a pubrunning guild with pokernights, pubquizes and whatnot. Suggestions are welcome, because bars with nothing but drink gets boring after a while, doesnt it?

We might also not be strictly bound to Stormwind 100% of the time and travel to do cool stuff, including trips to far away destinations for team building exercises.

tl;dr: We're going to be doing run a bar AND do crimes.

Just putting it out there, will likely not get it going for real until after friday but the guild is up and there sooner we're ready to start running it there better.

Have DM'd bar-brawls, and weird drinks with magical effects. Also, what's with the elf/draenei rule?

Nelfs and Draenei have never been welcome around the lady; due to the Cartels similar rule. It seems fitting to have that rule in memoriam... I'm smsorry *sobs*

It's just something worth keeping I think, a quirk. But it's your decision.

DMed bar brawls sounds hella cool. Thanks Rin. The reason why we don't have nelfs and draenei is basically; I don't see a draenei hiding crimes and I feel that nelves would be too proud to take anything from a high elf. THat being said I don't think they're gonna get beaten up anymore for showing their faces.

I know it was tradition before. I just never quite understood why. It seemed needlessly exclusionary. I guess IC racism was sort of the point, but yeah, it's not like there is an abundance of other places for them to socialise and hang out.

But being able to show up, even if it's not for the criminal stuff, without being punched in the face sounds good. Unless everyone is getting punched in the face, in that case they should be too.

In the old cartel days it was a mix of ic racism since all them ancient blue and purple guys were foreign, scary, full of themselves and yknow... other reasons, Aaaand for ooc reasons (at least in regards to guild recruitment) where it simply did not make sense to the officers why beings of a 1000+ years would go to Stormwind to be lowly street thugs.

Few years ago, on Ravenholdt, the Organisation used to run the tavern and my character was known as "The Shady Lady". Then Blizzard decorated it and filled it with rubbish and gave it the name "Shady Lady". I think I preferred the tavern as it used to be with bare walls and no Quincy

Mr Grey, when he ran the tavern, wouldn't allow Draenei's for some reason and he didn't particularly like dancing female dwarves either
