Chi and Shamanism Empty Chi and Shamanism

Chi can be put into fire and jade lightening by a monk.
A shaman can call upon the elements for aid to call down flame strikes and lightening.
However, if a monk for example cast a bolt of Jade Lightening at a Shaman, would that Shaman be able to turn that bolt against the Monk? I know he can ask the elements for aid, but the chi is -from- the -monk-.
Would he or would he not?

Where are you getting your sources?

Chi is the Pandaren word for Spirit, and Blizzard confirmed that it's the same resource that Shamans use.

Magi and Priests both use mana, but that doesn't mean a mage can automatically use it to invoke the Light.

Also. Isn't that example a bit of a nitpick? Where would you get into a situation where you need to turn lightning. Getting out of the way or shielding yourself seems like it'd be more practical than anything.

I'm the Monk in this situation, not the Shammy.

You can't turn lightning, this isn't Star Wars. What you can do is absorb that energy with some sort of shield and then expend it in conjuring a nice soufflé; this assumed, of course, you are a Mage.
