Description: Lynne is a wiry, weak looking young woman, with roughly tied-up golden hair and hazel eyes that have seen too much of the world. She has a small burn on the side of her neck and (if visible) scars down her side and stomach. Now a member of the Disciples of Light, she still stubbornly wears her Scarlet robes, but has caved and wears the clashing blue and white Tabard of her new guild.

Personality: The years have left Lynne a cynical and weary woman, although she still retains a few dregs of her caring loyalty and naivety towards others; if a little bit less so towards the rest of the world now. Back in her days when the Crusade was at it's peak, she was a loyal companion who would sacrifice anything for her peers; nowadays she'll still try and see the best in people if they give reason to; but she's mostly just tired, and keeps to herself. She has a burning hatred of the Undead and Death Knights, and holds a cynical view to the Argent Crusade and the Alliance. Her mind is slightly unstable, and she clings close to anyone she finds agreeable while she fluctuates between stubborn pride and naive panic.

History: Lynne was born to parents Wrenn and Jonah Aeson in the small hamlet of Donovan’s Reach, nestled in the hills north of Tyr’s Hand – fairly out of the way of the rest of the world, isolated. They were fairly normal – Wrenn worked as a City Guard in Tyr’s Hand, while Jonah worked the farm and wrote in his spare time. Lynne grew up with a similar interest in poetry and literature, and helped her father on the farm as soon as she was physically able. In her older childhood, too, she spent many hours with an older mage who resided in the hills, curious of magic and testing her fleeting skills.

Thanks to its remote location, Donovan’s Reach managed to evade much of the Plague, long into the later days of the war; but ever the loyalist, Wrenn was called many times to fights against strange, undead creatures. Each time she returned she would seem more and more harrowed, and yet more and more resolved to fight, and certain that the Light would save them. These days turned Lynn closer to religion than to her old love of the arcane, each sight of her mother alive and strong building her belief that the Light was why they were still safe. On Wrenn’s request – and to Jonah’s dismay at abandoning the farm they’d built up – the family moved south to Havenshire, closer to the safety of the city. It was too around this time, that Tyr’s Hand (and Wrenn, amongst their armed forces) had declared themselves loyal to the Scarlet Crusade. As having shown herself a capable and loyal crusader, they were very willing to take Wrenn’s desire of having Lynne inducted into the Crusade; despite the girl’s inexperience and immaturity.

She was pretty bloody expendable, at first. Lynne wasn’t a fighter, but her staying in the studies to worship the Light was of little use, and she was used as a runner / courier for the first months of her time in the Crusade. Mostly she’d deliver news and important deliveries between Tyr’s Hand and the Tirisfal Monastery, her fairly cowardly tendencies and small size keeping her hidden from undead on the roads. Eventually – and thankfully – she managed to get out of this role, and was taken into the Scarlet Clergy, under a Priestess in the Basilica at Tyr’s. It was there, for the next few years, that she spent much of her days in prayer, studying ways to use the Arcane and Light together, and assisting the Footmen in battle from afar.

That was, however, until the Acherus arrival. The entire area of the Enclave was massacred within hours, and Lynne didn’t even see her father until his reanimated form crawled up the ramparts to the city. She knew it was her duty to fight and die for the Light, but Wrenn intervened, pushing her back and taking her place on the lines. Lynne’s last sight of her mother was her cutting down dozens of ghouls and several Death Knights, before a gargoyle dragged her off screaming back to its wicked hold. That was all the sign Lynne needed to run, and all behind and around her the red line was collapsing. She barely made it out of the city in time to hide in the woodlands, just in time to see the Argent Dawn defeat the Scourge – or as Lynne saw it, the Argent Dawn abandoning Tyr’s Hand to their fate, before allying themselves with the Undead.

She walked for weeks, across Lordaeron, searching desperately for any signs of the Crusade. The Monastery was in chaos, some sort of civil war occurring with mercenaries and adventurers taking all the advantage they could for quick gold. Any other post in Tirisfal was wiped out by the Forsaken. She kept walking, until she found a small Scarlet Crusade group holed up in a marshy keep by Lake Lordamere. They took her in, and she became fervent in her zeal, actively training herself more, becoming merciless in her hunting of the undead and hatred of all outsiders. She became very close to several of her comrades, which gave her a lot more strength to make up for her “abandoning her post” at home. Unfortunately, rifts began to appear. The commander of the outpost seemed very keen to shift focus to a mercenary organisation, and began slowly phasing out the Scarlet Crusade from his men – all of which culminated in a confrontation during an expedition to the frozen fjords of Northrend. The memories are hazy, but this resulted in Lynne being knocked off a cliff by her own superiors and left for dead.

Lynne woke a few days later, in the home of a solitary Vrykul girl – a huntress. She seemed to have taken pity on the week little human, and offered aid in their limited communications. From what Lynne learned, this Vrykul (Ylva) had exiled –herself- from her clan, for joining with a God that was an abhorrent violation of the lands, and lived by herself up in the hills. She offered to aid Lynne, and help her home, so the pair snuck back to shore and Lynne managed to steal a ship from those she arrived with – a small boat, but good enough. On the sail home, though, she was set upon by ships off the coast of Hillsbrad; the exact forces are unknown, but to this day Lynne swears on her life it was the Argent Crusade. She survived again, washing ashore with naught but the clothes on her back, and began to travel the lands alone, seeking the next step the Light had planned for her.

I hope you don't find this rude, but the drawing's facial structure and ponytail remind me of someone.
