[A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
Hello, everyone!
In light of the recent connection and as I already said on the connection thread, I thought it would be good to post a little about the Wardens of Azeroth here.
Who we are
The Wardens of Azeroth are a group of brothers and sisters in arms. We welcome fighters, mages, healers, diplomats - people from all walks of life to our ranks. Our aim is to protect the innocent however we can. Thus, we don't actively participate in the war between the Alliance and the Horde as it's not our primary focus, unless there would be a Horde attack imminent on Alliance lands. We are usually more focused on threats that come from within, from our homeland. And we do so together, because we're also each other's family - brothers and sisters in arms, after all.
We are not a military order, nor are we aligned to the Alliance army. OOC, we have always seen the Wardens as a small band that focuses on dealing with other threats while the military does the large-scale fighting. That also means that we claim no special privileges or position within Alliance society. We've always seen the Wardens as essentially civilians to the law.
Our HQ is currently located in Ironforge's Mystic Ward, at the far left side just before entering the Commons.

Gerrond (GM), Cármtan, Carcia
Wardens of Azeroth and protecting the innocent, wouldn't that make you a neutral organisation?
I'm posting this question here because we've had it a few times on TVC. We are still an Alliance organisation that is bound by Alliance laws, but as said, our primary focus usually has little to do with the war between the Alliance and the Horde.
All walks of life?
Well, not really all of them. We don't accept blatant criminals who are going to cause trouble. But we are lenient in who we accept into our ranks. Not everyone has to be an impeccable paragon of justice, and the Wardens are very open to characters who want a second chance or who want to redeem themselves for something they did wrong.
Do you run events?
Yes, we do. I'm probably repeating myself here (as I often do), but we run our events and storylines in a Pen-and-Paper style, with a DM who oversees the process, emotes the enemies and gives the players the information they need to roleplay their character within the story. We sadly haven't had a very lively criminal-guard spectrum, or even many other villains for a while, so most of our storylines and events were dependent on our members' creativity (which, I must say, has never disappointed me). I should say, though, that we've experienced quite a dip in activity as we are so late into the expansion and summer has only just ended.
How to apply
The main method of application is through the website at [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] You'll have to register with a Wowlaunch account to be able to submit your application if you're interested. Do note that I'm planning to revise the application process somewhat in the near future, so things may change around a bit.
Thanks for giving this post a read, I'd love to read some comments.

I was an officer in this guild for two years or so, and whilst I've moved back to focus on my original home guild, I cannot recommend these people enough. They have some good storytellers, RPers, and are generally great people. There will always be a big place in my heart of the Wardens of Azeroth, who are -not- a military guild; they are 'do-gooders' and adventurers.
I love you guys, good luck in the new 'megaserver'. <3

Chief, this ain't really a military guild. Says it right there in the OP. Of the pre-existing DB guilds they're probably most similar to Band of the Brave or Second Swords.
Edit: For content - I remember you guys from TVC. I'm impressed you stuck it out there almost all on your own.
Remember me? Paia from Essence of the Blade?

The name sounds familiar, Paia, but I'm afraid I don't recall much else about you. And thank you for the kind words from everyone!

Best of luck Gerrond, you're a long-standing guild and always have been great people to fight against - none of the complaints we get from so many others, all attacks taken in good spirit and you guys give as good as you get. Ouch.

Garrond is the most patient character Delidah has ever encountered. The man is impossible to piss off.

Glad to see something survived in TVC. Should you want to cross blades with the Marauders, just poke us with your swords.

Can confirm Gerrond is impossible to piss off. Suspect he may not actually be human.

Re: [A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
Greetings all, just a minor update. For several months now the we have been running a Weekly Lore Q&A on our website but now we are happy to announce that we have shared this with the Blood Wolf Clan. We look forward to becoming more involved as the year goes on. Thank you for taking the time to read this.
Re: [A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
A small suggestion Carmatan. Do copy the recruitment thread to [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.] aswell. I did do a search on those forums and found nothing under WoA name that i could bump.

Re: [A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
Thanks for checking for it Skarain but we have chosen not to use the EU Forums for now for our Guild. Of course we had our one back on The Venture Co from five years ago and we might have (perhaps not now you mention it) had a little initial post on the forums when we first merged.
Thanks again for looking to bump us though! We may well recruit on the EU Forums in the future.

Re: [A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
I put one there about two weeks before we merged, but you might want to make a new one. It is probably either buried or heavily outdated.
Wardens of Azeroth are a brilliant guild, especially for people starting out in RP for the first time. Great atmosphere and good roleplayers. - There is a quote of recommendation you can use from #BestRPerEU

Haha thanks Skaraa <3 Yeah that's probably what I was thinking of to be fair. We will play it how it is for now, it's always an option later.
Skaraa is in fact best RPer EU.

For some reason (I am positive there was at least an old one), no we did not have a "Defias et al;" recruitment post. But now we do: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

Re: [A] <Wardens of Azeroth>
Returning to the forums after too long ^^ Just an update on the stories going on currently:
Lost Siblings - Karinia's storyline involving Magnataur of Dragonblight migrating.
Spinning a Web - My own storyline regarding a Necromancer who has 'spun' a network to keep himself hidden as he raises conflicts in the Grizzly Hills.
Blood Curse/The Haunted Farm - Elisheva's storyline. A Warden who was captured by a band of Forsaken now seems to be in a coma after her rescue. The situation grows tense as we learn more about a blood curse effecting her (Elisheva).
Riddle Ridden - Ququru's event-line. The Wardens have been sent riddles leading to locations in Loch Modan, though as of yet it seems entirely shrouded in mystery as to what these riddles lead to or who sent them.
In progress:
Lars' Survival Workshop
Monthly Warden 'Grizzlemaw Fest'
Thanks all, and we wish you all the best on your RP adventures
