The journal of Julean Milner, Chapter One
Julean was sitting at the table with a warm cup of tea, thinking back when she travelled here with the ship from Stormwind. It was when she was going back to the Highlands once again. Unfortunately for her had an priestess caught her when she was in Southshore, telling her she was needed in Northrend. She didn't have much to say but immediately followed the priestess and before she knew it she was on board a ship with it's crew on their way to Northrend. She wasn't alone however, there was others too who had been called on. It was getting colder in the air, it was hard to miss that so she puts down her cup of tea on the table and then pulls her blanket tighter around her. For exactly how long had she been here? Couple of months, least. She had forgot. Four, five maybe? Quietly she shook her head and reached out for her cup and took a sip from it. It warmed her, it was needed in this cold.
There was an open book in front of her, her journal. "I do wonder 'ow they other are doin'." Julean asked herself. She had gain weight lately. Most of her work had been quite calm for those last two weeks which she was grateful too. It was just a month or so after she came here with the others where she had felt sick from time to time. She already knew what caused it but never mentioned it to anyone. For now was Howling fjord her home, she was going to return but for now she had no idea when that day would come, but she definitely missed the Highlands and hoped on that day she would return back home wouldn't be far away. With an sigh took she up the quill and dipped it in the ink bottle and began to write in her journal.
“I hope to return to the others soon. I do enjoy the company of everyone here and those landscapes are beautiful, but it isn't the Highlands nor Stromgarde. And for how long will I be able to help them out in this condition?” She smiled at the though and put down the quill. While she was here had she decided to train up her cooking so it wasn't as horrible as it was. She wanted to make delicious things that everyone could enjoy. So far wasn't she in any success. But she was getting there, she had help. Her closest friend, which she just loved to tease when she got the opportunity for it, Morgan was a good cook and helped her in the training. Julean could smell the food downstairs and licked her lips. It wasn't until now she was thought about how hungry she actually was. She put her hand on her stomach, yes food would have been good. And she knew that Morgan was the one making it. She looked over at the fire, she had totally forgot about it and stood up. She took up an iron and poked around in the fire, making it more lively again. It was so warm and nice with the blanket. She was about to sit down again and continue write in her journal when it knocked on her door before the one who was on the other side opened it, Morgan.
“Julean, dinner is ready. You comin'?” He was a tall man, long thick hair and he had apparently forgot to shave for a couple of days. Julean pouted at it at first but smiled and nodded to him. “Of course, Morgan.” She answered him and walked up to him. He was almost a head taller than her, and he reminded her so much of Vasgar. But she was glad it wasn't him, he wasn't meant for her. She touched his cheek and the beard and shook her head slightly with an maybe a bit over dramatic sigh. “You need to shave it away again, Morgan.” He chuckled and just shrugged to her before they both went downstairs to have dinner.
