Description:

Larem has a fairly common build for a Draenei woman, at about the average height and size, but her long, sharply curved horns make her seem slightly more imposing. She appears classically beautiful, with sharp, elegant features, colorful purple skin, full lips and black hair. Her hands are small and delicate and her tail is long and slender. Her curves are slightly less prominent than is common for her kind, but she carries herself well with a practiced, noble posture.

She bears no visible scars and usually dresses well in soft, colorful and expensive fabrics, and typically wears a small amount of both perfume and makeup. Despite this rather obvious vanity, there's a glint of feral ferocity in her eyes. Invisible arcane magic dances around her, noticable to those not attuned to magic as a slight chill or tingling electricity. Those who know their magic can easily reckognize the raw, uncontrolled flow of immense power.

Personality:

Larem's personality varies wildly in unpredictable ways, drawing on subconscious triggers from her now-forgotten past and her more recent difficult experiences fitting into Draenei society and the Alliance as a whole. As a rule she is quick-witted and intelligent, a master of words both written and spoken including mastering multiple Alliance languages and cultural cues. She has a wide variety of talents and skills and is eager to flaunt them, especially when they can serve to profit her. Her wide range of interests and unpredictable mood is reminiscent of a young child as she can bounce between her points of interest rapidly with no rhyme or reason, and finds a gleeful, childlike joy in certain things, deciding on new things she likes at a whim.

She's often quiet, demure, restrained and soft-spoken around other Draenei and their Kaldorei allies, and makes herself easily comfortable in their presence. Meanwhile she is ill at ease around the Eastern Kingdoms races, in particular Humans, preferring to carry weapons on her person and considering them beneath her. She has a sense of morality and compassion instilled in her by her fellow Draenei, but doesn't seem to apply it to the Eastern Kindoms races or the Horde, seeing the "lesser races" as weak, stupid, violent and exploitable.

Her unease often swells into full-blown paranoia or violent outbursts when she feels threatened or provoked, and her powerful but poorly controlled magic can make her a significant threat in these situations. On the flipside she is quick to intervene on behalf of those she's taken a liking to. She is particularily fond of animals, easily fascinated and filled with a childlike joy by small furred or feathered critters.

History:

Little is known of Larem's past, as she has herself forgotten everything that happened prior to the Northrend Campaign. It is known that she appeared in Shattrath City during the Outland Campaign, fleeing a pursuing party of demons. After the demons were slain by the city guardians, she travelled through one of the Sha'tar portals in the city to Ironforge.

She was known around the Exodar as a dilligent arcane craftsman, but seemed to have no friends or family, and made no effort to socialize. One day, around the time of the Lich King's attacks on Stormwind and Orgrimmar, Larem was found unconscious in the streets of the Exodar, and when awoken suffered from a mysterious magical amnesia, remembering nothing of her previous life.

Having no friends or loved ones, no-one could help Larem regain her old memories, and she has since become an intrepid, daring freelancer devoting her magical talents to mercenary work, adventuring and exploration in the name of discovery.

Things you may know about this character:

• She's unusually greedy for a Draenei, eager to sell her skills for gold, including the crafting and enchanting of magical artifacts, inscribing magical runes and glyphs or more mundane writing, treasure hunting and information gathering, and private entertainment.
  
• She has a close working relationship with the Kaldorei of Darnassus, beginning with updating the maps of Darkshore after the Cataclysm and continuing to this day.
  
• Larem once found an injured Hippogryph foal near the border between Feralas and the Desolace, held captive by a local Centaur tribe. She rescued the foal and brought it to Rut'theran Village to be healed and raised. She has named the Hippogryph Karnak and he has now grown enough that she can ride on his back.
  
• She fancies herself an investigative reporter and/or information broker, and has made a habit of asking seemingly random people in the streets of Stormwind and Ironforge equally random questions while studiously taking notes.
  

Things you may NOT know about this character:

• She's been the apprentice of the wanted Necromancer Drustai, working with her to study dark magic.
  
• She once hired a mercenary band to raid the Forsaken outpost of Galen's Fall, distributing much loot and gold among the mercenaries and making away with a number of necromantic artifacts.
  
• Larem was once a Wrathguard in service to Kil'jaeden, transformed into a Draenei to serve as a spy. With Kil'jaeden defeated, she magically erased her memories to hide out in the Exodar until the Legion's time comes again.
