Age?
So I'm in a slight pickle it seems that age matters.. Perhaps, My character Thorvald was born around the age when Arthas Menethil was born which is four years before the first war.. Have to say that he is about 41 years old by now so..
How does age affect Humans? (Silly question I know.)
When are you legitimately to old for Melee fights?
Does the light have an effect on the aging process of humans?
What is it a Paladin does when he is to old for being a Paladin?
I'm following this time line by the way.

Re: Age?
I believe police officers have a pretty low retirement age? Mid-fifties or something?
At 40 though, you may not be too old for melee combat, but you'd be at disadvantage against the younger opponents. You lose some cardio every year, as you age, and well, endurance is key in an even fight. You'll also need more time to recover from your wounds etc.

Re: Age?
There's a reason why top-athletes stop somewhere 30-36 years. Because its all going downhill from there. This doesn't mean you can't be strong/good/healthy, well into your 60s (just look at stallone etc, or that japanese dude that still wrestles while he's 90)
But the bottom line is that your peak physical prime is 24-27.
But experience does matter. You won't be as strong or as fast as you'd used to be, that doesn't mean you're not stronger or faster than other younger than you.

You're forgetting one thing...
This ain't reality.
Paladins just get more badass with a white beard.

I don't think paladins ever are too old. At best case he'd become a fulltime trainer of the new generations.

He says, linking a picture of the greatest Warrior in the setting.
Valid point either way. I considered posting Lothar myself, the guy was either in his 60's or his 80's (his exact date of birth eludes me) when he finally died... in battle. Uther himself was in his 80's in WarCraft 3.

Re: Age?
Well, getting older just opened up a few more windows of roleplay it seems! Imagine that, Thorvald has a squire and training the disciples! Ha! That would get them off their high toes for once.
(No offence meant by that OOC, however it is IC.)

I'm not saying you can't fight when you're 'Old' on the contrary, I never suggested otherwise. But when discussing things like this, knowing how reality works helps you make decisions, one way or the other.
And looking bad-ass isn't a prerequisite for superpowah I mean or Indy would have been slain by the sword swinging giant.
Personally I'd reckon that the viability prolongued, from their Light usage. If it helps prevent getting sick, its going to help against fucking up your joints.
because lets not kid ourselves being a expert swordsmen, is equivalent of being a professional athlete, you're practicing several hours every single day.

Re: Age?
I'f I'm counting right now, I'm either 46 years old following the really long convincing list created by the community..
Or I'm 34 years old following blizzards timeline which is the one I have to stick with because ooh I don't know.. They made the game?!
It is as they say, time is a bitch. A new question for those interested in answering another one!
How old is your character, and have you done any correction to the age because of the new book that came out explaining the years?
(Yes I really want answer to the other questions as well, lets call it a conversation.)

Re: Age?
Considering I don't keep up with the time-line changes, and There is no "official" time-line, or there wasn't, When I created Amy she was in her Late 20s. and now she's in her Late 30s.
No specific age really, so I can stay flexible.

Re: Age?
There is a timeline now (finally?) but it's still vague in a few parts.
My characters are still the same age they were before, though it doesn't entirely fit what I had in mind with Virra anymore after the visual guide came out. But I'll try and not think too much about that!

Re: Age?
Personally I can't ignore it, I get the horrible feeling inside of me that something is wrong when timeline is messed up.. Its as if I said I fought in the first war and I'm 26.
There is a payment for being in great events in the past, and its time and age.
