Ghelgor Bloodfiend
Character name: Ghelgor Bloodfiend (Ghelgor)
Alias: None
Gender: Male
Age: Probably in his 60's, looks younger
Race: Orc
Class: Warrior
Birth region: Outside Terokkar Forest, Draenor
Specific area/town: Unknown
Family: Father: Gandrak Bloodfiend (deceased). Brother: Modrak, son of Gandrak. Son: Bronkar, son of Ghelgor (deceased). Ex-mate: Neda of the Frostwolf Clan. Ex-mate: Thrakha Ironsong (missing).
Known friends or enemies: Friends: Grim Stonepaw and The Blood Wolf Clan, to an extent. Enemies: Most everyone he meets.
Description: Ghelgor is a large and robust specimen of his kind, shaped and sculpted by and for war. His skin is adorned with scars from decades of near non-stop battle, making it hard to tell his age. His receding hair and thick beard are a deep black, further clouding the question of his age. Almost always dressed in his family heirloom black plate armour. Strapped to his back is a large two-handed Warsong-style battleaxe.
Personality: Dark and brooding for the most part, but he does open up when drunk. He is highly opinionated and judgemental when it comes to things that truly matter to him, such as loyalty and honour, but his definitions of these concepts tend to stray far from the norm. He is not a moral orc in the usual meaning of the word, as he is only bound by his sense of loyalty. Despite an upbringing at the hands of the increasingly savage Old Horde on Draenor, he retains a fairly good head on his shoulders. He's an alright tactician when push comes to shove and is an overall logical and pragmatic thinker.
History: Born into the Twilight's Hammer Clan on the outskirts of Terokkar Forest around the time of the creation of the Horde, he was quickly turned into a weapon against the Draenei. His body and mind was shaped to carry out the will of the Horde, without question or hesitation. Together with his father and brother, he fought throughout the wars against the Draenei, Stormwind and Lordaeron, until he was captured and placed in the internment camps. Following the liberation of the orcs by Thrall, he followed where the Horde went, ever loyal. He joined the Warsong Clan, since his own clan was no more. In Ashenvale, he followed his Chieftain in drinking the water from the cursed well.
In the aftermath of the death of his Chieftain, the defeat of Archimonde and building of Orgrimmar, he wandered restlessly until he received word from his brother about a warband he had joined. He stayed with the Shatterskull Marauders for several years, until the murder of his son by a fellow Marauder. He blamed the Marauders for what had happened and, probably affected by the dark spirits of Pandaria, left the warband without a word. He was not heard of again until the rebellion against Garrosh Hellscream, when he came to join the seemingly only faction of the Horde who opposed the heinous truce with the Alliance, the Blood Wolf Clan.
Things you may know about this character: He is very open about his hatred and disdain for anything magical or spiritual, making no difference between various practitioners, be they Shaman or Warlocks for example. He often enters into a bloodrage in battle, drawing on his own blood in an unusually visible manner. A trait shared with his father, and the reason for his surname. He's less known for his abilities in battle than he is for his ability to survive and take a beating. There has been few battles in which he was not heavily wounded, if not mortally so, yet he keeps on kicking. He cannot read or write and has no interest in learning how.
Things you may not know about this character: Every orc is a mystery.
Possible crime record: Depending on who you ask, Ghelgor is a serious war criminal. He has the blood of every conceivable species on his hands. He has killed unarmed civilians, pregnant females, babies and children. A perpetrator of genocide. It's impossible to have lived through the age of the Old Horde with clean hands, and as a loyal member of the Horde he carried out the orders given to him. In the years following Thrall's liberation and the birth of the New Horde, he has continued to follow orders obsessively, with a few exceptions, and thus not added substantially to his tally of offences.
