What is your top 3? I'll go first!

1. Deus Ex (1999); great story, well developed action and good RP-like interface
2. Red Alert (1996); The Godfather of all RTS
3. GTA: San Andreas (2004); The moment you reach the highest peak in SA: Priceless.

WoW?! Well, seriously, because I keep playing it, it must be...

Hmm, others though, non-WoW:

(in no particular order)

1. Neverwinter Nights (and it's expansions, but not NWN2). Truly one of the greatest most immersive games ever. Persistent World play is what online gaming should be like. True RP. Brilliant. And I think it still looks good.

2. The Chaos Engine. Steampunk top down shoot em up from Bitmap Brothers. Just looked and felt great. It is the only computer game my mum has ever enjoyed... whatever that means.

3. Tomb Raider. Running Lara into a wall repeatedly to make her make "that" noise... wait, no... I mean... jungle room, playing in a room with no lights on, you hear a noise, its a mother fucking T Rex.

Deus Ex, Syberia, Silent Hill 1-4, Fahrenheit, among a long long long list.

1. Total Annihilation (1997)
2. Heroes of Might and Magic III (1999)
3. Homeworld (1999)

WoW isn't that good of a game :p The only thing is, it's socially addictive. And Blizz keeps ya'll playing with minimal content updates every 3 months or so :p

Edit: Total Annihilation is Awesome too! It's in my top 5 too. I think I played it so much, my CD reader's laser must have dissolved the CD.

1) Grand Theft Auto 4.
2) Diablo 2+Xpack.
3) Final Fantasy 9.

Also, The Elders Scroll: Morrowind was pretty damn awesome.

I think the only video game I've ever played (and liked) was WoW and ... Klondike on my blackberry if that counts :p. Haha but no seriously:

Fallout (probably all 3 if I am honest). I completely forgot about Homeworld, loved it. Final Fantasy (7, 8, 9 and 10)... HoM&M... Baldur's Gate 1&2, Icewind Dale 1&2. Llamatron. Alien Breed (old school). Worms.

Old games were so much better, in my opinion. Games with only 20 hrs - have become a bit of the standard for a lot of singleplayer games nowadays.

Kingdom Under Fire: The Crusaders (Although the translations really were woeful at times, the gameplay was teh win)

Half-Life 2, StarCraft, Mass Effect 2, Modern Warfare 2, all games that come to mind. I suspect StarCraft will be supplanted by StarCraft 2 soon enough, making my list somewhat goofy-looking, but I can live with that.
