The razing of Darkshore Empty The razing of Darkshore

Post by Raene Sun May 05, 2013 9:14 am

There's been a spate of events I've been running for Natures Grasp recently for the Alliance in Kalimdor. Yet, there's no reason not to share these next few events with the rest of you so I'm putting this out here for anyone that would be interested in joining in and partaking in the storyline/events if they've got an excuse to be in Kalimdor.

The first part of this particular storyline begins in Ashenvale, so for anyone in the general vicinity (Felwood, Moonglade, Darnassus, Hyjal, Darkshore, Ashenvale, etc), you're free to tag along.

Starting this Wednesday, at 2000 server.

I would very much appreciate an opportunity to defend my elven brothers, but sadly I will be disposed that particular eve.

Here's hoping my buddies of Wild Tempest will cover for me!

Wild Tempest could show up, -if- we get to hear of any conflict. Our short-term plans does not involve Kalimdor as we consider ourselves unprepared to take a major role; as on, get to a continent to push a conflict ourselves.

The razing of Darkshore Empty Re: The razing of Darkshore

Rumours of an attack on the homeland of the Night Elves, Teldrassil, begins leaking out across the Alliance. When asked, Sentinels quickly quash the notion that they could have been attacked in their own homes and quietly move on the the gossiping civillians. - Dated Apr 25th.

Rumours of a secondary attack on Teldrassil start spreading like wildfire with the damage of this attack being far more serious than the first skirmish. This time when questioned the Sentinels get extremely defensive and start moving people along with their pointy Glaives. Are these signs of another Ashenvale? Are the Eastern Kingdoms and the Kaldorei soon to be overrun and painted in red? Or are those secretive Elves keeping something so lucrative a secret that it endangers the very fabric of the Alliance? - Dated Apr 27th.

Plus any ramblings that may have been heard on May the 1st, when Felwood was attacked/defended by the Nelves and in the wreckage were a lot of Elven arrows, and over 2-3 dozen dead Demons. In fact, I'll go update that on the Rumor Mill right about now.

A Lone adventurer can be found in Stormwind telling anyone who'll listen about how during a trip through Felwood he came across the site of dozens of dead assorted Demons, as well as broken Kaldorei arrows. The carcasses's deaths range from explosion, beheadings, disembowlment, and even being physically torn apart down the middle. Anyone venturing into Felwood can still find the days old bodies being slowly taken by nature.

The Night Elves freely explain how they took down a Blood Elf Warlock and his Demonic army, but then become incredibly tight lipped when questioned about the lack of Blood Elf bodies, and if the battle was in anyway related to the rumours of an attack on Teldrassil.
- Dated now.

Well, they did kind of sort their problem before the ball. The ball was kind of like a pat on the back for a job well done.

At least, they thought it was done. DUN DUN DUN!

The event went... poorly.

Well, not poorly, everything in the event went well, and people had a lot of fun, but Natures Grasp did not win, and were sent packing back to Darnassus. Ashenvale still burns, and the fire is now spreading. Natures Grasp will be convening tonight to discuss measures on how to combat the fire as the Night Elves of Ashenvale try to protect as much Forestry as they can.

By the time this storyline has been completed, it's no wonder the storyline is named "The Razing of Darkshore".

Ashenvale is still burning. The flames have now passed Astranaar and Hellscreams Watch. Whilst the most resillient of the biggest trees and buildings are kept from burning by the dilligent work of the Night Elves and Horde forces in the area, nothing is stopping the inferno from spreading ever Westward.

The Volcano continues to spew Lava into the lake below, but it's the Elementals that are doing the most damage as they force the blaze to spread in set directions. Oddly enough, it seems that the Elementals are ignoring Horde Forces, and are deliberately going for Elven targets.

It's no secret that whilst Darnassus and its Elves are focused on saving the land, the powers that be have sent their approval to the Natures Grasp order, giving their approval on a mission to go to Feralas on the hunt for an Eldre'thalas artifact that could help end this nightmare. To aid their efforts and prevent the Order from coming under attack from the Horde forces, Natures Grasp will be steering clear of Horde interests, and the Feathermoon Stronghold will increase security in the area to act as a deterrent and a distraction for Horde forces whilst Natures Grasp carry out their mission.

_______________________________________________________________________________________________________________________________

Natures Grasp will arrive in Feralas tonight, so any forces, either Alliance or Horde, who are in the area may encounter the bunch of Elves whether that be in approval or in opposition of their mission.
