Lucky they have a surrogate mother. If not then that baby would suffer from a minor level of inbreeding depression which affects all babies born from incest whatever the species and causes babies to receive some of these traits:

-Reduced fertility
-Lower birth rate
-Higher infant mortality rate
-Slower growth rate
-Loss of immune system

Actually, I really doubt the baby will grow up to be "healthy", at least from an emotional perspective. Unless the baby's homeschooled, I think a lot of people won't be too "nice" to it :( - poor baby.

I'm going to be honest, here. These people are both consenting adults, so I really can't bring myself to claim that their relationship is wrong. It's a conscious decision they're making based on existing feelings, and while it certainly strikes me as bizarre, it's not wrong.

But then, they're having a baby, to which I'll have to object on the grounds of the baby's welfare. That's just immoral, damn it.

If this story is true I can’t help to find it ironic that if the parents of the grandmother hadn’t been so worried about their reputation and had her keep her daughter this crazy situation of her falling in love with her grandson might never have occured:

“Pearl (grandmother) was 18 when she fell pregnant with daughter Lynette. She was living with her Catholic parents in Indiana and they insisted she give the baby away, so as not to bring the family into disrepute.
They organised a private adoption and Pearl never again saw her baby girl.
Pearl went on to marry, but she never had any more children. Instead she searched for her lost daughter until finally giving up hope 15 years ago.”

“When Phil (grandson) phoned Pearl, the pair admits they were both rather nervous. Pearl told Phil about being forced to give up Lynette for adoption, and Phil told Pearl about his mum dying of cancer.
'We both cried but kept talking for three hours,' she says. 'When he emailed me a photo, I thought what a handsome and sexy man he was before pinching myself – he was my grandson!'

But of course. The fact that they are adults and are making a conscious decision is a healthy enough argument to support this as the right decision to make.
