Cromdale Frostsong
Character Name: Cromdale Frostsong
Alias: “Crom”, The Commander, “Vor’sis” (Qiraj), Lieutenant Frostsong.
Age: 5021
Race: Kaldorei (Half-breed)
Char Class: Warrior/Druid of the
Birth Region: Winterspring
Specific Area/Town: Starfall Village
Family: Islay Frostsong (Sister. Missing)
Known Friends: The Druids of the Flame,
Known Enemies: Those who oppose his work, The Twilight’s Hammer, The Nightmare, The Qiraj, The Old Gods, The Wardens. The Defenders of Hyjal, The Order of Nature's Grasp
Description: Cromdale’s general demeanour is stern yet with an aura of calm about his person. His pale face is rugged with light scars across a bearded jaw, sharp nose and forehead. His raven-coloured shoulder-length hair is windswept with numerous dark feathers threaded in with the braids. Attire tends to be simple and practical, be it his scouting armour or his ‘casual’ robe. What little ornamentation he may indulge in consists of more feathers symbolising his affinity.
Personality: In some cases he is a typical Kaldorei; Aloof, feral and disapproving of indulgence. While also proud, there is less of the arrogance commonly associated with the Kaldorei, being all too aware of the failings and susceptibilities of his own kind. Perhaps it is this which makes him more inclined to work alone by appreciating the solitude that his duties occasionally provide. Although never a strict follower of Staghelm’s teachings, he shares the Archdruid’s militaristic stance and had always respected him as a druid and a commander. As such he has a profound sense of duty towards his race and his homeland, and is ever vigilant and prepared to journey at a moment’s notice should they need him (Hence another possible reason for his few personal relationships).
Dogmatic, loyal and honest, he is not easily swayed and will not suffer foolishness lightly. While not the most outwardly vocal of elves, he has a strong sense of righteousness. To Cromdale the ends will justify the means - which has put him at odds with many of his associates in the past.
History: Currently an antagonist of The Order of Nature’s Grasp, Cromdale has been preying on Darnassus and it's protector Guild in his so far successful attempts to steal various artefacts and information. His efforts appear to have been in vain, as the Order's greatest heroes tracked him down to Jaedenar and put a stop to a powerful portal ritual that otherwise would have devastated Felwood! It is unknown whether he survived the engagement...
Beforehand he had served his kind as a scout, defender and explorer, often engaging on solo-assignments or accompanying expeditions. Among the more militant breed of druids, he is known for being a capable warrior with a sound grasp of tactics, and is always vigilant against those who would threaten the land and his people. In fact it was his investigations into the Emerald Nightmare that have resulted in his current affiliations...
(tl;dr Version below)
Things you may know about this character:
• He leads the Druids of the Flame and has waged a campaign upon Darnassus, even managing to assault the city with a small army in a surprise attack!
• While not a powerful or particularly gifted druid, for what he may lack in magical ability he makes up for in his fighting skill. As an accomplished warrior, he has a broad grasp of Kaldorei weaponry while equally deadly unarmed.
• Has a great interest in druidic lore and history, and is well-travelled within Kalimdor.
• Additional skills include hunting, survival and recently imbuing objects with the powers of nature. (Novice Enchanter).
Things you may not know about this character
• Believes he is doing what must be done.
• Was once a fellow student and friendly rival of Thisalee Crow.
• He is able to shift between his natural and flight form in an instant, using this as well as his tendency to manipulate the surrounding environment to his advantage.
• If there is one thing he excels at, it is flying. Cromdale adores soaring through the skies and riding the winds with his beloved Kalimdor spread out before him. While alone up high, all his anxieties seem to melt away…
• Although scornful of the Dragonflights, he was once infatuated with a Green Dragon.
• Was an escort to an early expedition to the northern continent that was investigating the remains of the failed world tree Vordrassil. He prefers not to speak of it.
• He has great plans in mind for the Druids of the Flame, genuinely believing they canbe more than a mere tool for destruction. He hopes to guide them towards a more disciplined, balanced path.
Possible crime record: Nothing under your judicial system, Human...

The tl;dr Version / More “In-Depth Character” History
Which conveniently leads to my one-shot tale Mind & Memory. Read on if you dare...or have yet to fall asleep from the text wall above.
- Spoiler:
Born to mixed-caste parents in the cold highlands of Winterspring, he was taught how to hunt and survive in the harsh wilderness as most young Kaldorei are. With the dangers posed by the more intelligent native beasts, learning how to fight was also imperative to survival. His interests in druidic lore and history drew him towards the path of nature alongside his warrior training. Yet by favouring the blade over the claw he became more adept in the former. Throughout his youth, Cromdale always loved to climb. Be it trees, outcrops or mountains, no ascent was too great for the young elf. It would come as little surprise that he should have chosen the Talon as his totem after his initiation.
While much of his early combat experience came from being stationed in Felwood, Ashenvale and Feralas among other locations, it was the War of the Shifting Sands that earned him a reputation within militant circles for being a shrewd tactician and capable warrior. Along with Staghelm and many others, Cromdale shared the same dismay at the ‘Hollow Victory’ achieved at the Gates of Ahn'Qiraj, angered by the wasted sacrifices of his comrades and resenting the Bronze Dragonflight for not acting sooner.
In more recent centuries he served as escort to an expedition to the northern continent investigating the remains of the failed world tree Vordrassil, working with several druids including a younger Hierophant Thayreen on her first trip to the Grizzly Hills. It was during this time away that the Horde and Alliance first set foot on Kalimdor, resulting in the Battle for Hyjal and the permanent settling of both factions. Shortly after his (somewhat hasty) return to Kalimdor not long after, he was tasked with resuming contact with the Archdruid Naralex and his Druids of the Fang, as so little had been heard from them since their work began beneath the Barrens. Cromdale arrived at the Wailing Caverns only to meet with a fearful rabble of disorientated or mad initiates being dominated by the degraded “Fanglords”.
Now that his attention was turned towards the Emerald Dream specifically, he volunteered to officially scout other remote areas of druidic importance, including the Dream Portals again. He found that even the residing Guardians - members of the Green Dragonflight - were slowly succumbing to a sinister force, giving him further reason to question the integrity of the Draconic race. (He was particularly dismayed at the fate of Ysondre, who had once been a very close friend)
Vordrassil, Silthius, Felwood, The Barrens, Ashenvale, Winterspring, even Moonglade: It seemed that everywhere he turned, he could find some trace of insidious corruption lurking in the shadows and gnawing away at the world’s fabric. Having noted the disturbing nature of these situations, Cromdale wasted no time in returning to Moonglade to consult his fellow Druids on the matter. To his surprise and frustration he found little support for his pleas for dealing with this pressing corruption. The various orders had more pressing business on their hands, what with the healing of Hyjal, the building of Teldrassil and the establishing of new Alliance and Horde relations.
Determined to discover more, he petitioned for and assembled a group of like-minded Druids and organised an independent excursion into the Emerald Dream to the Rift of Aln. Although prepared adequately enough to protect themselves from The Nightmare, they initially studied the Rift from a safe distance, gradually approaching the threshold over the course of several months. During this time they conducted various tests of a magical nature and observed the warped conditions that surrounded the area, occasionally battling off the odd horror that entered from the other side.
Years later Cromdale would return from the Emerald realm, waking up to find the world reeling from the Cataclysm.
Not long after awakening, he was approached by a renegade Fandral Staghelm. After much debate, a strangely disorientated Cromdale was eventually convinced by the radical new measure being taken by the Archdruid; The corruption that he feared so much was too deep to be simply cleansed by natural means. The land could only be cured by uprooting it using the very same primeval elemental powers that helped create Azeroth in the beginning. Believing this to be the only solution available, Cromdale agreed to fight for Staghelm once more, unaware not only that the fiend had absolutely no intention of restoring Kalimdor should they succeed, but also of the mind-twisting corruption that had taken hold of himself while delving within the Nightmare...
As a lieutenant, then the Commander-in-chief following the Druid Leyara’ death, he oversaw the elemental assault upon Hyjal. Although initially successful, he knew it was only a matter of time before the conjoined forces of the Cenarion Circle, Alliance and Horde would hold their ground and begin to turn the offensive back against them. In desperation he turned his attention towards the comparatively complacent druids of Teldrassil...

Cheers! Actually could you list what his 'Official' crimes are so I can list them down, besides stealing a random book and mugging a druid for his staff? I firmly belive, that you will conclude that Crom is in fact, totally and utterly guilty...of nothing more than trying to do his duty under difficult circumstances.
