Description: In life, Thelos was a chubby and affable draenei of a deeply saturated blue hue with long facial tendrils and an ever-hairless (besides the sideburns) head. In death, he seems to have lost a lot of weight and put on some muscle. Having been dead for quite a while, his hair and skin have been drained of color. His skin is now of a sickly greenish white.

Personality: Undeath has took much from Thelos, including his cheerful demeanor. He is more often found feeling morose, having been alienated from much of the pleasures he enjoyed in life. However, Thelos retains his most important defining trait: his undying faith in the Holy Light. Though more sombre, Thelos goes about his holy work with a humble, dignified air. Sometimes flashes of his living self will shine trough when he cracks a joke or pokes someone with a playful jab. Thelos is als selfless and dedicated as he ever was; a good friend to the allies of the Light, but a terrible enemy to cohorts of the Burning Legion.

History: Born on Argus of humble farmland origins, he and his family were amongst the first to heed Velen’s prophecy of the evil of Sargaras, and immediately swore their allegiance to the Naaru when they first revealed themselves to the Prophet. During the long trek trough the cosmos he found the love of his ancient life in the stalwart arcanist Atlaua, together with whom he founded a family of seven. On Draenor they were amongst the first to journey in to the mountainous regions where the grand temple of Karabor was later to be erected. After having spent many peaceful years there, he was fated to loose much of his brethren and all of his family to the savage Orcish hordes when they laid siege to the temple.

On Azeroth, Thelos worked for many years as a scribe and translator for the draenei ambassadors that had moved in to Stormwind. Having lost his family, Thelos lived a reclusive live, scarcely spending any time out of the library. As a social creature though there was only so much loneliness the jolly anchorite could bear. He was conscripted by the infirmary of the Disciples of Light with whom he went to a-great many wars serving as a battlefield healer and chaplain. During his travels with the Disciples, Thelos came across the draenei of the Ere Argus commune and decided to settle down in the Exodar to live amongst his own kindred once again. There he met Exaythe, who would become somewhat of a surrogate daughter to him and Drustai, with whom he would always have a tumultuous relationship of great affection and even greater animosity.

Eventually Thelos was offered a position as a High Priest of an order dedicated to spreading the word and work of the Naaru: the Naaruvada. For the Naaruvada Thelos would translate a wealth of ancient texts into common and teach a-great many draenei and humans about the lessons they had to teach. Eventually, when trying to convince a gnomish professor to abandon his unethical experiments, Thelos was killed during the mad scientist's experiments, crushing his own skull after being driven into a frenzy by a potent serum based on demon blood.

After several months the draenei necromancer Drustai raised his body and bound him to her service. Forced into a life of undeath and prevented from taking his own life, Thelos served the necromancer for a few weeks untill she came to catacalysmic clash with the guards of Stormwind. With Drustai being outlawed, Thelos has started wandering trough Alliance lands under the alter-ego of Vindicator Soleth to quietly protect those he valued so dearly in life.

Things you may know about this character:

• Thelos didn't actually write any of the Naaruvada texts, but rather translated them from Draenei to Common.
  
• In life, Thelos was very fond of pasteries and other sweets.
  
• Thelos is an expert musician, having mastered most traditional Draenei instruments. He also has a beautiful, baritone singing voice.
  
• Thelos was a family man trough and trough. He has a soft spot for children and unwed adults. He still carries his wedding ring around his tail.
  

Things you may not know about this character:

• In spite of his seemingly cheery demeanor, Thelos has never been able to fully recover the tragic loss of his wife and as such has never properly bonded with any one since Draenor. Those very close to him know him to be strangely aloof.
  
• Besides having been an Anchorite, Thelos has served on the frontlines as a Vindicator before back when his body was in his prime. Having been restored to peak strength and beyond, Thelos has once again donned plate armor.
  
• Thelos has such great faith in the Light that it allows him to channel the Light even in the perverted state of Undeath. However, the Light burns his accursed body and it causes him a great deal of pain to call upon the Light. His undead body is covered in scorch marks because of it.
  
• Thelos has been raised into undeath by Drustai and as such owes her complete and utter obedience. Amongst the standing orders he has recieved from her are to prolong/not end his own existance and to not harm her or any of her associates. Thelos will instantly carry out an order given by Drustai in spite of himself.

Just imagine it being 'Ave Naaru' and you've got a pretty good picture what a state the poor sod is in.

Only now I notice that the character my brother played was Thelos' son, and that'd be Puaar.
