need help with an equip/emote macro?
Is anyone here any good with macros? I'm awful with them and rarely use them, but I came upon an RP situation I've needed a few times before, and wonder if there's someone out there who can help?
Bascially, my character, Dareil, is the innkeeper of Wayfarer's Rest now that Vilmer's gone and sometimes a situation demands that I grab my sword from under the bar and brandish it at trouble-makers.
so... this is what i need the macro to do...
emote grabbing sword from under the bar.
Equip sword.
Hold sword ready. (I don't want it on my back... not very threatening)
So anyone out there have the knowhow for me? Thanks in advance.

/e grabs his sword from under the bar.
/equip < insert item name here >
/e holds the sword ready to strike
If you want to enter a battlestance you'll have to find something to right click, like a critter.

I'm not sure (and can't think of) a macro command to brandish your weapon (that's what that would be, the "Z" button action in game).
/e grabs his sword from under the bar.
/equipslot 16 <Name of Sword>
Would equip your weapon in your mainhand and emote. But that's about it. You'd maybe then be able to press "Z" (assuming standard keybinds are still used) to brandish at the same time? Dunno...
Edit: Beaten to posting. The "battleready" stance would need a hostile target/neutral, or something you can at least hit. But I don't think equipping with /equip or /equipslot actually "brandishes" the item. Then again, I'm at work.

Adding "/run ToggleSheath();" to the end of your macro will draw your weapon. Tested ingame.

If there are any critters nearby that you know the name of you can probably do /autoattack < critter name >
