Blizzard are quite hypocritical on the manner, seeing as drugs are quite frequently shown in-game.

Excellent post Drustai. Alongside all your examples of Blizzard alluding to illegal drugs (but not specifically), I took a look at the ingame policies dictating this issue.
"Illegal Drugs or Activities
This category includes both clear and masked language which:

References to abusing illegal drugs.
References to performing illegal activities."

As the drugs created, distributed and used by the Cartel are completely fictional (I spent time creating a background for the drugs relating completely to the ingame world) I don't see how we could infringe upon these rules.

Azshara Azure ain't an illegal drug in real life, neither is Moonglade Arcana, and so forth. We are roleplaying out drug use in a very similar way that Blizzard is doing it, by isolating the context of the drugs and the drugs themselves to the fictional world of warcraft. And whilst doing so we are fuelling the server with more RP opportunities available for all who wish to RP with us.

So I fail to see where the beef is.

So in conclusion to blizzard being giant hypocrites and people trying to nitpick; we don't care.
